IMPORTANT NOTICE: Tour's departure initial time is not guaranteed. This is because of new regulations that protect the enviroment of whale sharks. This activiy is regulated by Protected species and they will determine the shift or initial time for this activity. Possible initial times 9 am, 11 am, 1 pm, 3 pm. We will confirm to you initial time one day before. Please be patient while we wait for our turn to depart. It is possible the wait could be between 30 minutes until 3 hours to enter to whale shark feed zone, this regulations applies to all companies in La Paz City.

What To Expect
In the beautiful bay of La Paz lives the largest fish in the world, the whale shark, this gentle giant shares its home with us, we swim for about 50 minutes with them. We are a proud company to take care of this specimen and we follow all the governmental regulations, so we making little groups of 5 people to make the possibility to swim closest as possible from them without touching it

5.00The guide and ship captain were fantastic. Alprin (most likely misspelled) was a thoughtful, enthusiastic and engaging guide. This crew kept the Shark Whales and their environment at the top of their priorities. Very ecologically minded boat crew. We saw those amazing fish and were awed.

1.00Travelocityt dropped the ball!! Given your lack of knowledge on the workings of rentals or tours in La Paz, we will not be using your services at all anymore. It was very disappointing to find that the firm you had booked us with and taken our money for does not even offer a whaleshark tour at this time- they dont have a current license to do so. you should be ashamed of abusing your clients by representing that you could book this- if I knew the truth of it I would have made other arrangements with the time I had to do so. Your failure here caused us a lot of inconvenience, forced us to spend more for the same experience with another provider, and your lack of accountability makes you unreliable- along with the fact you offered no remuneration for your misrepresentation. 5.00Wan was our guide and our captain saul they took great care of us. They took a lot of time to explain the proper way to swim and be near the whale sharks and what to expect. We had a wonderful experience and they were great first class all the way.
Cancellation 45 minutes after Scheduled Pickup

1.00They cancelled last minute. Confirmed the trip the day before and also week before. They drove all the way to the hotel, and told us to wake up at 6:30 to get there for 8am. Their transportation drove all the way to the hotel, after making us wait 45 minutes for the bus to be late. Just for them to cancel before we could even get on the bus. There was no information stating cancellation is common or should be expected. Tour was confirmed twice. Scheduled pick up was 7:15am and they did not cancel until 8am. They should make it known that cancellation should be expected. This was a birthday/christmas gift and the only reason we came to the area to begin with.

2.00We went in January 2020, not this year. The guide had all of us go into water same time, which wasn't the plan, nor the rule, as I understood. It was too many people crowding around the shark; and one woman kept swimming in front of us. I got kicked in head by her. After boat was moved and we went in the second and last time, everyone came aboard except the one woman; and she stayed with guide for nearly half hour alone, following the shark, while the rest of us sat in boat, idling. It was a joke. I hope guide got big tip since his photos were of her and shark.

Captain Jose and our guide Mar made it a spectacular day, explained, took care of us and took the time with each to make it an unforgettable experience. Thank you very much

2.00The good: You most likely get to see and swim with a whale shark The bad: You spend about 2-3 hours looking sitting on the boat while the guide looks for a whale shark. Then you get about 2 dives which last for 2-3 minutes in the water "swimming with the whale shark" My experience: It was ok as a one-time experience. Our guide made a couple of stops along the way back for a passenger who needed to use the bathroom, which took away from the experience and made us late for our flight. There was a dock fee which the person who collected the money claimed they didn't have change but would pay us later, which never happened. The experience itself was okay at best. We spent about 90% of the time in a boat while the guide searched for the whale shark.
