The experience allows you to discover 10 French wines, each served with a thoughtful food pairing, seasonal cheeses and others.
Seated at a communal table, in an intimate setting of no more than eight guests, you’ll be guided by a sommelier, passionate and knowledgeable, sharing their insights.

What To Expect
Step into a private tasting salon in the heart of Lyon for an intimate wine masterclass. The experience is built around a structured tasting: two sparkling wines, three whites, and three reds and two specials served side by side to encourage comparison and a deeper understanding of styles and regions. Rather than following a fixed script, the tasting evolves naturally, with a focus on Beaujolais, the Rhône Valley, Jura, and a few carefully chosen surprises. As the tasting unfolds, a few fresh, seasonal bites are served, not as a full meal, but to naturally support the wines. We’d be happy to welcome you for a tasting. 5.00This was my second experience with Hugo and it was a fantastic wine tasting. We did our tasting blind which was a lot of fun! Hugo knows so much about French wine and the setting was beautiful. Don't hesitate to book for a fun experience in Lyon!

5.0010/10 recommend this wine tasting... he was incredibly knowledgeable and well educated about all things wine! He was so interesting to listen to, and made learning about French wine and everything that goes into wine making, very fun! We tried at least 10 wines from around France, fresh breads, cheeses for pairing, and even a delicious dessert. We would wholeheartedly recommend this experience. It was one of the best things we did in Lyon!! Book this experience, you won't regret it!

5.00We had an incredible afternoon of wine and food at Hugo's charming tasting room in the centre of Lyon. The wine was a fascinating selection from across France, highlighting different appellations, styles and ages. We initially tasted the wines blind, which was enjoyable and thought provoking. The pairings were on point and some of the best food we had in our trip to Lyon. A unique wine experience which we will definitely return too.

5.00Hugo the the event co-ordinator is very knowledgeable and has books and maps to assist in his explanation of the wines that you taste in his new venue. He pairs the wines with an excellent assortment of Cheese and Charcuterie. The wines that you taste are from all over France and from different decades as well. All in all it was a great experience. The family and I loved the experience.

4.00Hugo was very knowledgeable. He was very friendly and made the evening very enjoyable. The wine was excellent. We had a variety of wines and there was something for everyone. The cheese was also excellent. The only reason I did not give this experience a 5 star rating is because of the location. The location was upstairs at a closed cheese shop. There was no air conditioning and no windows, and it was a little dismal.
