What To Expect
Your adventure begins at the restaurant Shaman, where you will meet your guides, Santos and Jair, who will give you a warm welcome and a brief introduction to this experience. From there, you will start a walk to the sacred area, a space that houses four “Sacred Places” for the Wixárika (Wixaritari) community of the Sayulita region. The tour will take you through jungle, beach and gentle hills, allowing you to connect deeply with the natural environment. During the walk you will learn about indigenous culture, its history in the region, and its vision of the world and the universe. In each of the Sacred Places, Saints will share the meaning that these spaces have for their community, and then perform a traditional blessing. At the end of the visit of all the Places, you will return to the starting point, where this experience will conclude. It is important to note that this indigenous culture has preserved its customs and traditions from generation to generation for many years. Your worldview may be different from ours, so respect and openness are requested during the ceremony.

5.00Great hike to the different cultural spots with an indigenous guide and translator. Highly recommend. Make sure you are wearing good shoes as some parts are quite vertical.
It was a very nice walk, with incredible landscapes and full of spirituality.

5.00This is a great morning hike with spiritual blessings and great history on the area. The total hike is roughly 2 hours, there are some steep hills and some of the trails can be washed out so I suggest good shoes. I am 55, out of shape and made it in slides. I do not recommend doing that, wear good walking shoes and be comfortable walking up hills. Jair and Santos are amazing and gave us so much history and spiritual information, this is a great way to spend the morning. And, breakfast at Chapman’s was amazing. Great experience, would definitely do this hike again.

5.00We really appreciated this ritual/spiritual hike. We are big city folk but looking to connect to the body and nature, and this hike did exactly that. Jair and Santos were welcoming, informed, courteous and genuine. The morning hike means less heat and fewer bugs and that was just fine with us. The jungle/nature is fascinating, along with centuries-old indigenous relationship to it. Jair also provided some lovely recommendations for our stay in Sayulita.

They elaborated on the why of our walk, in which ways to appreciate what’s in our world. How to reconnect with our roots. And how to listen. You’re taken through the beautiful landscape of Sayulita to a hidden treasure of peace, you see parts untouched by man. I will be recommending this to all my friends and family. This was an amazing experience. My brother and I really enjoyed connecting with nature guided by Jair and Santos. They shared the purpose of our walk, the different ways to appreciate what surrounds us, how to reconnect with our roots and how to listen. They take you through the beautiful landscape of Sayulita to a hidden treasure of peace, where you can see places untouched by human beings.
