An easy, enjoyable and very interesting botanical trail through a thousand-year-old forest of laurel and giant heather. A "living fossil" of the Tertiary Era, with a great biodiversity of endemic species of trees, plants and native birds. You will see breathtaking panoramic views of deep ravines, ancient volcanoes and the tropical coast. TENO RURAL PARK, northwest of Tenerife. Discover the traditions, local culture and way of life of this rural environment, while enjoying some of the most spectacular and beautiful scenery in the Canary Islands. Join an authentic guided walking adventure with an experienced guide. As you walk, you will learn the history of this part of the island and its people. The Magic Forest is definitely a must-see in Tenerife! Difference in altitude: +/- 450 m. Distance: 7 or 10 km. Difficulty: medium - high.

5.00On three completely different hikes we were traveling with Sergio and got to know the beautiful north of Tenerife. His enthusiasm for the diversity of nature, his knowledge of fauna and flora, as well as geology, allowed the exploration of mystical forests, panoramic mountain paths and archaic volcanic areas always on very beautiful hiking trails. There was also plenty of time for photos. We appreciated the private taxi from our hotel and sandwich included. However, he could not inspire my husband for the use of hiking sticks. February 2025

5.00As part of my trip to Tenerife and my stay at Tabaiba Guesthouse in Buenavista del Norte with Sergio and Karin, I took part in two guided hikes by Sergio and learned an incredible amount about the nature of the volcanic island, the vegetation and the diversity of animals. Sergio, through his connection to nature, makes you sharpen all your senses and engage with curiosity in the hiking experience. I felt very well cared for and sheltered, informed and taken away during the hikes and would always climb through the mountains with Sergio again and listen mindfully in silence to the sound of the trees.

5.00Sergio is a very special guide. In addition to great hiking experiences, he teaches respect for nature. He knows the flora and fauna of Tenerife. He is a very likeable guy who takes the different fitness levels of his hiking group into consideration. We always felt very safe on several tours with him.

5.00Very interesting and varied hike in a small group (3 people) - the route and level of difficulty were tailored to our requirements. Sergio informed us about the flora, fauna, geology and history in a very competent and entertaining way. This hike is highly recommended! Even inexperienced hikers can manage it thanks to the hiking poles and the instructions/support from Sergio.

5.00A hiking tour with Sergio is more than recommended! He gave us and especially our son so much great knowledge about the flora and fauna of Tenerife during the hike that we now walk across the island with completely different eyes - so hiking and learning is fun! Sergio is incredibly sympathetic and speaks very good German. See you again next year!

5.00We had contacted Sergio, asking him to show the original, pristine Tenerife. We wanted to immerse ourselves in the beautiful nature of the island. Away from mass tourism. Via the website you can direct your wishes to Sergio and after a first phone call we were sure we were in good hands with him. Already two days later our tour started. The tour was fantastic. He lovingly involved the children, 10.9 and two years old. Teached you a lot of knowledge about the island, nature and geography in a playful yet educational way. In the background the most beautiful scenery you can imagine. It was an unforgettable experience for all of us. Thanks Sergio, see you again soon -and next time with overnight stay in your pension :-)
