Valletta is the smallest capital city in the European Union (it does not exceed 6,000 inhabitants), it is impossible to resist its charms. Valletta's history is one of the richest in the Mediterranean. Why was it one of the most coveted cities in history? From the Ottoman Empire, the Knights, Napoleon, the British, the Third Reich, ... I will show you the origins of the city and this emblematic nucleus named European Capital of Culture 2018. We will explore the alleys where the painter Caravaggio escaped from justice, in addition to the historical buildings from the beginning of the 16th century. What is a tour without food? Maltese gastronomy, as much as Valletta retains many memories of its British past (such as the red telephone or its official co-language), has always been influenced by Italian food, during the tour I will take you to taste the famous Pastizzi or where to eat a good pizza with your fellows or have a cocktail with jazz something that became fashionable during the dolce vita. 5.00We stayed with the Best Western Royal Santini Hotel in Rome for 9 nights in March 2026. The room was VERY clean, in fact the whole hotel was spotless. The bathroom was very thoroughly cleaned daily. The resturant staff (Shout out to Federica and Nadia) we absolutely wonderful. They had no issues whatsoever with special food request. We are looking forward to returning next year. Nino and Sandy Toronto Canada

2.00Although the tour guide was affable, the tour itself was disappointing as it did NOT cover any gastronomy or art and the level of history covered was very basic. This poor quality tour was NOT worth the money; what was covered could have been accessed via other simpler walking tours for less money. The information provided to accompany the tour schedule was incorrect and misleading. The tour was supposed to commence at 11.00AM and complete at 5.00PM; the guide was late by 15 minutes and the total tour lasted barely 2.5 hours. The tour guide took photos, which he proposed to send to the tour members via WhatsApp. We are still waiting!

5.00Something has to be said about getting a locals point of view from such a wonderful place. Our guide Luis was fantastic, brought us to the "must see attractions" but also gave us a glimpse of the normal life Valletta. The views were just amazing and the history is so fascinating. Easy to find Luis and a great time with him. Fantastic young man with a great passion for his adopted city.
