You have seen these iconic weapons used in countless movies and video games. This is a unique opportunity to not only see them up close and learn about them, but also to handle them and test your skill by firing them at a target.
This is the only program of it's kind in the northeast.
Not recommended for pregnant travelers
Suitable for all physical fitness levels
Participants must be able to walk on uneven terrain and sit/kneel/stand in various positions to safely operate different firearm types.
For a full refund, cancel at least 24 hours before the scheduled departure time.
Participants will have the opportunity to learn about, handle, and actually fire an assortment of WW2 era small arms at our rural outdoor range. You have seen them in movies and video games, and here is your chance to get some trigger time with these historic guns. After an indoor class where we will go over the history and background to dozens of small arms used in WW2, participants will select their favorite rifle, pistol and submachinegun to fire. We'll also set up a crew served belt fed machine gun. Each participant will fire a full magazine from a pistol, battle rifle, submachine gun and a 20-round belt from a belt fed machine gun under direct supervision of an instructor. Participants should wear comfortable clothing & footwear for the outdoors. This is an outdoor activity. You should come prepared for the weather and to kneel, sit or lay on the ground as needed. Prior experience with shooting is not necessary. All shooting is done using the techniques used in the 1940s, which means pistol shooting is done one handed and rifle shooting is done from the right shoulder using the stances taught in the WW2 era. Class size is limited to four except by special arrangement.

I took my history nerd brother here for his birthday and he had a great time! The host was very personable and accommodating to us. He took time showing us his collection, and he is incredibly knowledgeable on the history and inner workings of a wide range of arms. He answered all the questions my brother and I both had. I had no experience with guns, but still had a great time, and he was patient with explaining the process to me. We were there for several hours, and enjoyed our whole experience. Well worth the cost!

It was neat to see different weapons from WW2 and have the opportunity to shoot some. Pete is full of knowledge on the history of the guns and shares it with guests prior to shooting. He is working towards a project to build a building for his business, as it is currently out of his home, and it would be great for his dream to become a realty so his business can have the space it deserves.

Ended up being the only one there that day due to others canceling, but even so ended up talking about firearms, reloading, and everything in between for three hours before going shooting and it was absolutely fascinating. An incredibly wide variety of weapons, stories, and knowledge all on display that I frankly think this is a bargain for the price. Better if you're already a shooter, but still great if you don't know much about firearms. Would 100% go again if I'm ever in the area again.

Great chances to make a deep dive into the history of WWII and get up close and personal with the iconic firearms. Pete has an amazing collection and can give you the backstory behind each gun if you are interested in the historical context. He personalizes the experience to your specific interests—so if you just want to shoot you can, but if you are a history buff you can get the whole story! I appreciated that flexibility and really enjoyed learning the history of some specific guns in his collection. Of course the shooting range was the highlight—and despite wet weather it was comfortable. Pete has it setup with a tarp to protect the shooting position against weather and even with steady rain I was able to stay dry while shooting. Highly recommend this unique experience!

Take your time and don't plan anything more if you spend a day with Pete. We were there for about 7 hours. He was very knowledgeable about the rifles and pistols of WW2 and the history behind them. Thank you Pete we had a fantastic experience.

Myself, my 2 sons and son in law had an amazing time learning all about the various WW2 weapons on hand. Pete was an extremely knowledge host, and geared his explanations to the various levels in our group. My youngest son 20 years old is a WW2 buff and he could have stayed all day listening to Pete. We already have 2 from the group planning a return trip , I would highly recommend Pete's adventure to all.

A wonderfully kind man, a story behind every firearm, and a hands-on environment that you won’t get from any other gun-rental company. Too often have I gone to museums and seen precious artifacts, but never could I hold them in my hand. At this experience, Pete will tell you the intricate story of a firearm, and then say “here, hold this,” as he picks up another one. I got to hold a lot of dream guns that day, and I can’t recommend this experience enough.
