This booking did not include the ferry ticket, admission tickets, and the transportation. Solely for the tour guide. But Evelyn, the tour guide made everything run smoothly. She booked the Didi (taxi) for us, helped us bought the admission tickets to the museum/garden, etc. She was knowledgeable, friendly and very helpful. She Our visit to Gulangyu Island was really nice and memorable because of her.

Jane was amazing! She was on time, kind, knowledgeable, very pleasant, and fun to be around. A phenomenal person. I booked the tour to keep moving after my 15+ hour flight over to Xiamen and it was the best decision I made. She gave me a crash course in the AliPay app and getting a DiDi. I asked to see the best Xiamen had to offer and she delivered! From the local temple, to the ferry ride to the island, a tea house experience, a little souvenir shopping, and trying the amazing local food for dinner. I thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon and evening with her and can’t recommend her enough. Thanks Jane!!

Our tour guide arrived on time at the port terminal to pick us up. Her English was very good. We occasionally had a laugh as we got confused about a question. We had to choose to go to Gulangyu Island or Xiamen city. Sunny told us there wasn’t time for both. We bought ferry tickets and went to the island. There are many historic houses, beautiful flowers, street performers and of course the Shuzhuang Garden with the piano museum. To our surprise over 65 got in free. We found a nice place to eat with cold beer and air conditioning. (Very hot day 83F and sunny) Had time for a little souvenir shopping and still got back early for the ship. A lovely day.

Xiamen is a beautiful city steeped in history as we learnt from our fabulous tour guide Cathy. Her English was excellent and she shared a wealth of knowledge in a short space of time. Her organization and planning meant we could pack in an incredible amount of sites and experiences. To cap it off, we absolutely recommend you ask her to take you around 8th Street Market in the evening to try the local foods and delicacies. Delicious. Thank you Sunny and Cathy for a great day out!

What a fantastic way to spend our 11 hour layover in Xaimen! We quickly connected on WhatsApp and from there… all went so smoothly. Our guide Cathy was absolutely fantastic! 10/10 for sure! She was there at the airport when we arrived and worked to create a custom day just for us. She took care of ferry rides, admission tickets, taxis and all the logistics that can be a little scary in another country and talked to us about prices before purchasing everything… no suprised, which we really appreciated. Xaimen is really a charming city, and Cathy knows all of the good spots. And it ended up being less $$ than the advertised layover tours. Great find! Thank you Cathy and Susan.
