One of the most memorable evenings I’ve had in China. I didn’t expect to feel so at home so quickly. Our guide Suzy, a local college student, who is the same age of me, was warm, funny, and genuinely passionate about sharing her culture. Making Biangbiang noodles from scratch was surprisingly therapeutic and fun, and not exaggerating -- that was the BEST noodles I've ever had. Can't wait to show off the skill when I get back home haha. If you’re in Xi’an and want something real, something that stays with you long after the trip ends, book this activity!

Highly recommended! Had great noodles made by my own hand and also had inspiring conversations with peer travellers and local people. It was organised, chill and you can pet the cute little dog Kaddy! It was organised, chill and you can pet the cute little dog Kaddy! 😂 Thank you Chef Wang and the coolest host Luke! Best wishes.

My family and I had an excellent afternoon with Jeffrey and Cristiano. Jeffrey contacted me via WhatsApp the day before and we organised that he would meet us at the street and walk us to the location which was reassuring (as the street address is for a kindergarten but it’s actually a compound with various different buildings). Once inside we sat down and had tea and fruit and enjoyable conversation. We then got our aprons on, and started the biang biang noodle making. While the dough rested we were delighted to have more relaxing conversations with some special locals. The time flew by and then we were flattening and cutting up our dough into noodles which then were cooked. We added the oil and condiments to our taste, and sat to eat our delicious self-made dinner with more conversation with our hosts. We then had fun writing our names in calligraphy which we got to take with us. All in all a fun and enlightening experience with locals learning about the Xi’an way of life. Great value with the different activities and hospitality. They were accommodating and flexible with the schedule. We would highly recommend this activity to people who would like to try these activities and connect with locals.

Very nice experience. I only had biang biang noodles in London before, and I was thrilled to learn how to make them myself. It ended up being easier than I thought and tasted great ! I also had a great time learning Mahjong with our guide Chen and the other two travelers from New Zealand. It was a great way to escape from the heat and still explore culture in another way — Chen shared a lot of knowledge about Chinese current lifestyle. Highly recommended.

I had the pleasure of attending a noodle cooking class in Xi'an this April, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. The food we prepared was absolutely delicious — the selfmade noodles were flavorful and cooked to perfection. What made the class even more special were the warm and welcoming hosts. They went beyond just teaching us how to make noodles; they also introduced us to traditional Chinese tea, shared fascinating Chinese games, and even wrote my name in Chinese characters. This personal touch made the experience immersive and culturally enriching. I highly recommend this class to anyone visiting Xi'an who wants to dive into authentic Chinese cuisine and culture. It’s a perfect blend of hands-on cooking, cultural exchange, and great fun!
