Enjoy some of Mexico City’s must-see spots with our ‘Colors of Mexico’ adventure.
Begin in Coyoacan, one of Mexico’s most influential cities. As you wander its tree-lined streets, you’ll learn how this city played a part in historical empires like the Aztecs and the Spanish.
Then visit either La Casa Azul or the Casa Kahlo (depending on the selected option). Step into Frida Kahlo’s world through her original home or the innovative new museum, and immerse yourself in the life and art of one of Mexico’s most iconic and original artists.
From the inspired art of Frida Kahlo, we’ll head to the eye-catching Xochimilco and board a trajinera - a colorful, gondola-like boat - for a ride through the neighborhood’s famous canals. As you indulge in local treats, your guide will share the incredible details of what makes this area a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Before finishing the tour, walk around North America's oldest university and admire its Central Campus, another World Heritage site.
Public transportation options are available nearby
Suitable for all physical fitness levels
The activities' order may vary due to the Frida Kahlo's Museum availability
The tour will be monolingual when arriving to the visit. During the transportation times it will be bilingual
It is recommended that you wear comfortable clothes and walking shoes
Lunch is only included in the price of the Full Experience option
Please note: for the options that include Frida Kahlo, you will visit only one Frida Kahlo museum. You may choose between the Frida Kahlo Museum (Blue House) or Casa Kahlo (Red House) at the time of booking.
IMPORTANT: Please note that the Casa Kahlo Museum is not the same as the Frida Kahlo Museum (La Casa Azul). The Casa Kahlo Museum is a new exhibition space, not the artist’s former home. By visiting this museum, you will have the opportunity to explore some of Frida Kahlo's personal belongings, as well as previously unseen artworks related to her life and legacy. However, this tour does not include entry to the original Frida Kahlo Museum (Blue House).
Coyoacan
Begin your full-day tour with a visit to Coyoacán, one of the oldest neighborhoods in Mexico City, dating back to pre-Hispanic times. As you stroll the cobblestone streets and see 16-century mansions, learn about the history of this area and its colonial legacy from your knowledgeable guide. Listen to how the neighborhood turned into a cultural hotspot, attracting artists and intellectuals in great numbers.
Museo Frida Kahlo
Wrap up your Coyoacán visit at the Frida Kahlo Museum (if you select the option), also known as Casa Azul (Blue House). See where this world-renowned artist lived with her husband, Diego Rivera, and learn about her tumultuous life. During your hour of free time here, admire examples of her iconic work.

We had a wonderful time with Carlos Salvatore and of course Hector. Never a dull moment and the price was well worth it all. All day experience with a fun group of about 30 people but everything was still punctual, we have to applaud that. Not to mention as a couple with a native speaker and an English speaker they did a wonderful job and no need to translate to my partner. Great job!!

This was a long day—especially when you factor in CDMC traffic—but so worth it. Lorenzo switched seamlessly between Spanish and English for our mixed group and his instructions for meeting points etc were so clear that no one was ever missing or late. The stops themselves were great. I had been to Frida Museum once before so I skipped that and wandered around coyocan for a couple hours no problem. The canal boats were so fun, too—partly bc of the great group I was with.
