Xunantunich tours from Caye Caulker stand out due to their unique blend of activities, often combining the Mayan ruins with cave tubing, ziplining, or visits to other historical sites. The journey itself is scenic, involving a boat ride to Belize City followed by a drive through the countryside. A highlight is the hand-cranked ferry across the Mopan River, adding a touch of adventure. Once at Xunantunich, visitors can climb El Castillo for panoramic views of the jungle and nearby Guatemala. These tours offer a mix of history, culture, adventure, and natural beauty, making them a popular choice for those exploring Belize.

- Review from Viator
It is advertised as a trip to the Mayan Ruins from Caye Caulker, but it has nothing to do with Caye Caulker. The starting point is Belize City. I found this confusing, so I reached out to Viator’s help desk - does the trip start in Belize City or Caye Caulker? Viator’s Chat Now said we meet at the water taxi in Caye Caulker. I purchased the tickets, then reached out to the tour operator the day before the trip to confirm we’re meeting in Caye Caulker. No, we’re meeting in Belize City. I canceled the trip, and had to get my credit card company involved to get a full refund. I’m sure the Mayan ruins are lovely, but I didn’t see them, and Viator really should change the name of the trip because this is false advertising.
