If you not only want to see wolves but also learn ALL about them, Brian is your guy! He has a serious eye for spotting them and knowing their common whereabouts. It’s also clear the wolf watching community is always in contact and looking out for one another. 10/10 tour and we saw more than wolves!

  • Best Decision We Made – Brian Got Us on Wolves!

Booking this tour with Brian was hands down the best decision we made for our Yellowstone trip. Brian is incredibly knowledgeable, but what really impressed me is how well connected he is. He seems to know everyone in the park, and because of that, he always has the latest updates on wildlife activity. That network makes a huge difference — especially in winter. And yes… we saw wolves. Not just a quick, distant sighting — he positioned us perfectly and made sure we were in the right place at the right time. Watching wolves in the wild like that was unforgettable. It’s something we’ll be talking about for years. Brian also really listens. If there’s something you’re hoping to see, he genuinely tries to make it happen. He’s patient, calm, and clearly passionate about what he does. If you’re considering a winter safari in Yellowstone, ask for Brian. And if you can, book multiple days. The more time you spend out there with him, the better your chances of seeing incredible wildlife — especially wolves. Couldn’t recommend him more.

  • Exceptional Experience with Brian – A True Wildlife Expert

Our private winter safari in Yellowstone was absolutely outstanding, and a huge part of that was thanks to our guide, Brian. Brian is not just a tour guide — he is a true wildlife professional. His knowledge of the park is extraordinary. He knows every valley, every ridge, and every hidden corner that’s worth visiting. More importantly, he understands animal behavior deeply, which makes all the difference when you’re hoping to see (and photograph) specific wildlife. What truly sets Brian apart is his network. He has an incredible connection with other guides and wildlife spotters throughout the park, which means he constantly receives real-time intel. This dramatically increases your chances of being in the right place at the right time. In winter, timing is everything — and Brian knows exactly how to position you for success. As a photographer, I had very specific animals and landscapes I wanted to capture. Brian listened carefully and tailored the experience to help me achieve those goals. Thanks to him, I was able to photograph exactly what I came for — and more. If you are serious about wildlife viewing or photography, I highly recommend booking with Brian. And my biggest advice: book multiple days. The longer you stay out with him, the greater your chances of witnessing rare moments and capturing the images you truly want. Yellowstone rewards patience, and Brian knows how to make every day count. Highly, highly recommended!

Brian gave an excellent tour. He had lots of fun facts and information about the park and the wildlife. He wants to see the wolves even more than you do so he's going to try his hardest to make it happen.

Brian is one of the most knowledgable guides I have ever met. He is very down to earth and all inclusive. Yellowstone is the best place in the world to see the wild wolves. If you love wolves, grizzlies, coyotes, and other critters, book a tour with Brian. He knows where to find the animals. Once you see a wild wolf, you will never forget it. Truly an incredible experience with Hayden Valley Nature Tours! Natasha B.

My family and I are regulars at Yellowstone. We’ve been on several tours over the years. I must say, Hayden Valley Nature Tours was absolutely spectacular. Our guide Bryan seemed to have an uncanny ability to locate all the animals. We’ve never had a guide find moose, bison, elk, longhorn sheep, deer, mountain goats, and my personal favorite the wolves all in one tour! Apparently he does all the tours personally, and it shows. We rode in a very comfortable gmc Yukon with coffee, snacks, bottled water, soda, sandwiches. You name it, they had it! The kids, wife, and I were very happy. We’ve never repeated a tour with the same company but next time we take a tour it will be with Hayden Valley Nature Tours. Choose wisely!

This was by far one of the best tours I have booked. Brian was very knowledgeable of all of the wildlife he showed us and knew where to find them. It was a private tour so there was a lot of individual attention given to us including use of the binoculars and scope and sharing photos and videos he had taken for us. We were extremely pleased and would recommend booking with him!

I knew I wanted to see Yellowstone in the winter but I did not want to drive and I so glad I didnt. Brian our tour guide and driver was great. We felt safe and secure in the SUV, he provided snacks and coffee for the trip. It was a very smooth and comfortable ride on the icy and snowy roads in Yellowstone. We saw elk, deer, bison and sheep. Unfortunately no wolves but it was not for a lack of trying. He was working with the wolf tracker trying to get us a picture and view, but the wolves did not want to show the faces. On the way back we got stuck in a bison jam which was really cool and nerve racking at the same time, again glad Brian was driving and not me. He moved with caution and safety. It was a great tour and a good day. I would recommend the tour company and check them out again in the future.
