What To Expect
Krakow
The tour begins with a transfer from Krakow to Zakopane. You will be picked up by your guide and, along the way, immerse you in the unique culture, traditions, and stories of the Podhale region. A scenic journey from Krakow to Zakopane, where breathtaking mountain views unfold with every mile will take around 2 hours.
Chocholow
On the way to Zakopane, you’ll pass through the traditional wooden village of Chochołów, known for its nearly identical wooden houses. The settlers follow a long-standing tradition of washing the wooden walls with soapy water twice a year, before Christmas and Easter, which keeps even the oldest buildings looking new. The village lies just 500 meters from our southern neighbor – Slovakia.

5.00Zakopane is great, I had the best vibes from the village and from the people. I loved the cheese and vodka tasting, also because we were in the woods, breathing fresh clean air. Spa relaxing but I’d love to have more time around the nature. Michal was the best, I am a tour director in Italy and Europe and I can tell you he loves what he does and he’s a genuine person, caring and giving us all the right suggestions. Sorry my feedback got here late, see you!

5.00We booked an excursion to zakopane and had Krzysztof as our tour guide, he was incredible from start to finish and really made the day very special and educational for me and my mum. The day in total was about 10 hours, but Krzysztof made sure we wasn’t rushed and told us to take our time when walking around. The atmosphere was like nothing I’ve ever experienced before, it was like travelling back in time. It was so quiet and peaceful and such a beautiful place to see.

5.00I had an excellent trip to Zakopane. Our driver and tour guide, Maciek, was fantastic throughout the entire experience. He was very informative, easy to understand, and clearly very knowledgeable about everything we passed and visited. The bus was comfortable and made the journey really pleasant. The stop in Chochołów was a highlight, and cheese tasting was a great added touch to the day. The scenic drive to Zakopane was beautiful, and Maciek kept us well informed the whole way, also sending great recommendations for restaurants and things to do in Zakopane. The thermal baths were excellent, and three hours there honestly went by so quickly because I was so relaxed and enjoyed every moment. On the way back, he was very attentive, making sure to stop when needed for toilet breaks, and even went above and beyond by dropping people off at their preferred locations. Overall, a very friendly and professional guide. If I return to Kraków, I will definitely be looking to book one of his tours again.
