Zambezi River

Breathtaking Sunset Views – Witness the African sun sink into the horizon, casting fiery hues across the tranquil waters. Wildlife Encounters – Spot hippos, crocodiles, and a variety of bird species in their natural habitat, with occasional sightings of elephants and other wildlife coming to drink along the riverbanks. Though the cruise was fantastic and the people very friendly and helpful they were 20 minutes late in collecting us from the hotel leading to a shortened cruise. There was no explanation.

An excellent experience—highly recommended for the quality of service. Coincidentally, in 2026 I chose the same provider that served us in 2025, and it was a pleasant surprise, thanks not only to the service on board the ship but also to the care provided by the staff at the A Zambezi Hotel.

Everything was good, and I got the sunset that was promised. The only downside was that I had to wait almost 30 minutes in the dark for the return transfer. I would also recommend including all fees in the tour price, as it makes things much more convenient for tourists.

Great experience. The staff was very friendly The drinks and snacks was great Only negative is there was a group that went with us that was 35 minutes late so that shortened our cruise time

It’s an opened boat, drinks and food are great; there are washrooms on a boat. The crocodiles, hippos, birds were seen.

Well run. Everything went smoothly. Food and drink was good. I feel wary of eating buffet food in Africa but this was served on individual plates. The sun did indeed set. Reminded us of The Lion King.

A very pleasant way to spend an evening. The weather was warm and sunny with just enough cloud to pick up the colours of the setting sun. We saw a few hippos in the distance and lots of other boats doing similar cruises. There was an open bar and some nice snacks were included. We were seated at tables of six or more and met some interesting people. There was plenty of room to move around the boat and take as many photographs of the sunset as you could wish for. The crew members were helpful and pointed out various things of interest.

Efficient and professional pickup driver and captain of the cruise. He was passionate about his country, animal preservation and knowledgeable. Nice selection of drinks to relax to the beautiful scenery.
