- Review from Viator
First off, the guide is going to make or break it for you on a lot of these activities. In this review I will break down what was stated in the description and how the guide made it better and why we would recommend doing this. The experience included some waterfall repelling at bocawina, which from what we gathered has more adventurous tours than the Mayan adventure park and was considered by several of our drivers and tour guides to be more intense, followed by ziplining. We did 2 waterfall repelling of ~120 feet down a 45 degree angle. If you have repelled before, then this is considered slightly easier, if you have not and you are willing to jump in and try and are relatively coordinated/in shape, this won't be a problem. Good grippy water shoes (i had salomon sense ride 2 max and my so had knock off water shoes and mine held up better but both worked). The ziplining was 9 runs spanning from high speed, to long lengths comparable to doing it in Mexico or Costa Rica (arenal). Here they do have you stop yourself but they walk you through it. Overall, this was better than expected and recommend. This part of the tour closed with lunch and included transportation both ways. Most tour guides are going to have you stop by a chocolate store that is well known in the area (3 times on 3 trips for us). We had Charles as our tour guide and he was easy going, relaxed, very knowledgable and very interested in teaching you the culture. He was willing to say he didnt know something. There was very little he didnt know. He was superb. He stopped at souvenir shops for us, took us through some neighboring cities like Hopkins and showed us the local sites.
