What To Expect
Mikumi National Park
Mikumi is a jewel. Its variety of landscapes, grassy plains, woodlands, and a water hole are surrounded by three striking mountain ranges. The park is home to a wide range of animals, including lions, leopards, and hippos, to name but a few. It’s also a great place to see elephants, giraffe, impala, the rare African hunting dog and over 400 species of birds. The open space, wide skies and wonderful wildlife all contained in a relatively small area make it a perfect location for a day or two day safari. 1.00Vivamente sconsigliato! We booked for a 1-day safari departing from Zanzibar. The flight initially scheduled for 6am was postponed first to 8am and then to 9.15am. Once we arrived in Mikumi we waited 35 minutes for an additional jeep as they had not properly counted people against the available seats. Despite the delays (both of the flight and the departure by jeep), the return flight remained confirmed at 3.30pm. In conclusion, 3 hours of safari instead of the 6 agreed (in the total of the exit must be considered also the stop of about 1 hour for lunch). Indecente!

2.00We are disappointed because we took the last plane to Mikumi even though we had requested the first plane and we did not have a picnic basket. Concerning the guide in French and the driver, we were not satisfied because the guide did not speak French well and did not tell us much about the animals, and the guide did not have a walkie-talkie.

5.00Best 1Day Safari - best Guide Silas Absolute fantastic!***** Fair price. We did the daytrip from MapenziBeachHotel by plane to mikumi with Selas . Tanzamericasafari. S I L A S ist the best guide ever!. You can Trust him! Transport, Flight and a very warm welcome at Mikumi airport. Silas and Daniel showed us all animals..! Unbeliveable. They described everything. Had a Lunchbuffet together. Very good. With Elephantvisiting. we eat together, we sang together, we laughed together. Like a family. THANK YOU SOOOOO MUCH!!

5.00The experience is amazing, they were incredible from the begging till the end. Very sympathetic and nice driver, told us a lot of curiosities about the animals and Africa, willing to answer all of our questions and made a very pleasant atmosphere. The trip is so worth it, a life time adventure to remember. Truly recommend it.
