This tour is perfect for those who want to immerse themselves in village life and explore the ethnic minority culture. You will have the opportunity to learn about the traditional lifestyles of the Yao and Zhuang people. Embark on a hike through the valley and rice paddies, culminating in a breathtaking bird's-eye view of the stunning rice terrace landscape from the top.
Li River is the highlight of your Guilin tour as well as one of the highlights in China. A visit to Guilin Yangshuo without Li River Cruising would not be complete. You will see the breathtaking landscape while Cruise from Guilin to Yangshuo.
The driver guide picks you up from Guilin hotel to the dock, you will take cruise from Guilin to Yangshuo for about 4 hours, the driver will meet you at Yangshuo dock, show you around the West Street. And then drive back to Guilin hotel.

What To Expect
Gain a more intimate insight into village life and Chinese minority cultures with a tour of the Longji Rice Terraces.
Guilin
Your driver guide will pick you up at 9:00 am or at a time of your choice from the lobby of your hotel, Guilin Railway Station, Guilin Airport, Guilin city center, or any other designated location.
Longji Rice Terraces
After a two-hour ride, you will arrive at the Longji parking lot, where you can purchase entry tickets. Next, you will head to the Longji Ping’an Rice Terraces, the most beautiful terraces, which were the earliest to be discovered by tourists and photographers. From the Ping’an parking lot, you will walk up to Viewing Platform No. 2 through Village via stone stairs. Along the way, you can observe the daily life of the Zhuang people and their traditional wooden houses. When you reach Viewing Platform No. 2, you will see the iconic "Seven Stars with the Moon" formation. Afterward, you will walk to Viewing Platform No. 1 along a flat path passing bamboo groves, rice terraces. On arriving at Viewing Platform No. 1, you will be rewarded with a panoramic view of the Longji Rice Terraces. Finally, you will walk downstairs back into the village and enjoy a Chinese lunch at a local restaurant. Be sure to try bamboo rice, bamboo chicken, and smoked pork with bamboo shoots.
Guilin
After a wonderful day exploring the Longji Rice Terraces, you will be transferred back to your hotel in Guilin. The journey takes approximately 2 hours, giving you time to relax or take a nap. You will arrive at your Guilin hotel by around 6:00 pm.
The karst landscapes and countryside charm of the Li River make a Li River cruise a Guilin must-do.
Li River
Your English-speaking driver guide will meet you in the lobby of your hotel at 8:00 am. 8:00 am – 9:00 am: Transfer from Guilin Hotel to the dock. 9:30 am – 1:30 pm: Embark on a 4-hour Li River Cruise. As you glide along the serene waters, you’ll be captivated by the stunning landscapes, featuring lush bamboo groves, majestic karst peaks, water buffalo wading in the river, and quaint villages that seem to have leaped straight out of a traditional Chinese painting. A delightful Chinese lunch box will be served on board, allowing you to savor the flavors while soaking in the picturesque views. Notes: You will enjoy the Li River Cruise independently, as your driver guide will travel separately to Yangshuo and meet you at the Yangshuo dock. From there, they will escort you to West Street, where you can spend an hour soaking in its unique atmosphere.
Yangshuo County
1:30 pm – 3:30 pm: After disembarking, you’ll have approximately one hour of free time to wander through the charming West Street. Steeped in history, West Street is Yangshuo’s oldest thoroughfare, dating back over 1,400 years. Nestled in the heart of Yangshuo, it rose to prominence in the 1980s and remains a vibrant hub of culture and activity.
Guilin
Following your exploration of West Street, you’ll be driven back to your hotel in Guilin. Alternatively, if you prefer, we can arrange for you to be dropped off at a hotel in Yangshuo.

5.00My brother and I had a great time on this tour. We took so many photos. Leo, our driver, was friendly, kind, knowledgeable, and a great driver. He arrived early both days. Carried umbrellas for us in case it rained. The Dragonback Rice Terraces was my favorite part of the 2 days. I would recommend this tour for all travelers.

5.00My husband and I just finished a two-day private tour in Guilin, and it was incredible! The travel agency made everything seamless, and the pick-up service was excellent. The driver arrived on time each morning, spoke English, and was super friendly. On the first day, we visited the Longji Rice Terraces. Our guide, Eric, was amazing! He shared fascinating insights into China’s ethnic minority culture, explaining the history of the terraces and the traditions of local groups. His knowledge and passion made the experience unforgettable. The second day’s Li River cruise was breathtaking. Eric even showed us a Chinese Banknotes with the same scenery—such a cool detail! The landscapes matched the murals I’ve seen in U.S. Chinese restaurants, and seeing them in person was a dream come true. 5.00Liao met me at the train station as per his text message on time. I had two days in Guilin and Liao prepared an excellent itinerary for me to make the most of my time. A few key points about Liao and his team: -always on time - highly organized - speaks great English - highly knowledgeable of the local area and traffic - fantastic recommendations for local restaurants - fully capable of thinking on his feet to come up with options when plans change at the last minute - a very humble and honest person - takes huge pride in his work I will always remember my visit to Guilin and Liao as my tour guide. 5.00I wanted an easy and carefree trip and I got an easy and carefree trip. Our tour guide Leo was able to help and accomodate us with anything we needed and was absolutely the best. Highly recommend! The views were a bit obstructed by rain, but it was still an amazing experience. I don't think you will see these kinds of unique landscapes anywhere else in the world. We had a great time and I wouldn't trade this experience for anything.
