Kibale National Park is an acknowledged primate hub. Situated in southern Uganda, the park is a habitat to over 1000 individual chimpanzees, and 12 other primate species including baboons and the various kinds of monkeys. The Kanyanchu primate walk is the major highlight of this safari – you get to encounter the park’s many primate species. A chimpanzee trekking excursion, guided nature walk, bird watching adventure and a community visit, are some of the activities you will enjoy while on this safari.

The adventure begins when you embark on a drive to Southern Uganda – the location of Kibale National Park. When you stop in Fort Portal town for lunch, you will use the opportunity to visit to the ‘Amabere ga nyina mwiru’ caves, the Karambi royal tombs and Omukama’s palace. When you arrive at the park, you will take out some time to unwind and then embark on a guided nature walk in Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary.

Kibale Forest National Park
The day’s main adventure will be the Kanyanchu primate walk. You will embark on a guided quest for the 13 primate species found in the park. The highlight of the excursion however will be a chimpanzee trekking excursion. You will encounter one of the habituated chimp families and then go ahead to see the various monkey species. In the afternoon, you will go for a birding excursion along the boardwalk trail and the various viewing platforms in Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary. The area has over 138 bird species.

Airport Transfer Entebbe
You will go for a village walk in the morning and then embark on your journey back to Kampala in the early afternoon. You will enjoy a scenic drive through the beautiful countryside, the steep terraces, rugged hills and massive tea plantations. Your safari will end when your guide drops you at your choice location in the capital.
