The Nile cruise was overall a good experience — the food was nice and everything went - almost -smoothly. First of all, the staff should be more aware of guests’ privacy and their general behavior if they wish to be called a 5-star cruise. For example, when you sit on the deck to relax, talk, and enjoy the calmness of the Nile, you wouldn’t like to have a camera filming you all the time without your permission or a waiter standing over your head waiting for you to sign a receipt for a bottle of water while eating. On top of that, the “mandatory tip” of €9 per person only made the experience worse and confirmed our feeling that in Egypt, you only get a decent service after paying extra for services already paid for. The sights were very beautiful, although the hot-air balloon ride was canceled for some reason. Also, on the last day there was some miscommunication about our drop-off at the airport, and we ended up having to pay for a taxi to the airport ourselves. It’s a unique experience if you come to Egypt but unfortunately our experience didn’t go as good as expected. Hope others have a better experience than ours!

We booked for Saturday. We were told that it had be rescheduled for Monday. So we booked extra 2 nights, only for it to be cancelled again with no explanation even after having confirmation the day before that we were good to go. Poor communication and unreliability. Do not recommend and if so triple check they will actually take you and even then don’t count on it. Because of them we didn’t get to do Abu Simbal as we were waiting for cruise to do so as well as Luxor. They essentially ruined half of our trip to Egypt and had to spend two extra days in Aswan doing nothing. And Viator was absolutely no help as well. They said they’d have a manager call me back after saying essentially they could do nothing and then never called me.

Great experience! The cruise on the Nile aboard the Alnabiltan ship was splendid: the ship is elegant, with nicely decorated and clean rooms. Our guide Mohamed was professional, helpful and very organized in showing us all the attractions of the tour. An experience to do!

The whole trip was worth it and nothing short of amazing! We couldn’t have experienced Egypt the way we did if it weren’t for Mohamed. He is very well-versed in his country’s history and did a fantastic job educating the team. He is also highly organized and ensures that everyone in the group is well accommodated. In addition, he has a great way of adding more fun to the entire experience. Yalla Habibi!

We were a little confused on our initial pick up but we had very a great experience on this cruise and we highly recommend it! Our guide and Egyptologist, Mohamed Gobran, made this trip even better. He's very passionate and knowledgeable about Egypt. He is a very organized guide and managed to keep everyone in his group fully informed verbally and also by WhatsApp of our daily program. He also tended to our individual needs going above and beyond what we expected. He took group pictures at many sites and sent them to us via WhatsApp that will be reminders of our great time cruising the Nile. Mohamed made us aware of all of our costs up front and it was taken care of first thing to get that out of the way along with some basic guidance of what to expect on our trip. We didn't use the ship wifi as our phone provider has an excellent international plan. Some of the other passengers purchased Sim cards at the airport, in town, or online before boarding the cruise. You could also purchase a sim on the cruise but I believe it was more expensive. Expect your days to start very early. We started at 4:30am - 5:30am every day and many of our tours were also at night. These times were much cooler and I loved seeing many of these temples all lit up at night or early morning... there was something very magical about it! Also, there's a lot to see, I can't believe how much Mohamed fit into such a short amount of time so be prepared to be on the go! Habibi! The day time tours were very hot so dress cool, wear comfortable shoes and stay hydrated! I recommend bringing something to keep you cool such as a portable battery operated neck fan, fold up fan, just something to keep you cool. We dressed mostly in light weight shorts(not too short, conservatively) and tank tops/ light weight shirts. We didn't encounter any temples that we had to cover our shoulders or our knees during our tours which I was worried about unnecessary. All of our transportation to and from our sites were very modern, clean, with A/C and we were comfortable. Be advised locals will be relentless and coming at you from all sides to sell you their wares! Mohamed would take us through the unavoidable aggressive markets quickly as to not slow down our tours. At times you may have to walk through other ships to get to your ship. Also, make sure you have plenty of small denomination egyptian money for tipping as everyone you encounter everywhere will expect a tip (even for giving you directions) and many bathrooms will charge 10, 20 or 50 egyptian pounds to enter... be sure to grab the tissues on the way in as there may not be any toilet paper in the bathrooms. The ship accommodations could use some updating, their 5 stars may not be your 5 stars but we were comfortable and the staff and the food that was served buffet style, was amazing. Drinks are not included but were very inexpensive. I would definitely say the food and drink prices were much better than the many ocean cruiseliners I've encountered. We really enjoyed meeting our amazing big diverse group from many different countries, ages, and backgrounds who watched out for each other. Mohamed affectionately called us to get going with Yalla, yalla, Habibi (let's go my darlings ones) which probably all of our group will remember forever. We bonded together within a short 4 day cruise...some feel like family that we plan to keep in touch with, this makes our big world feel so much smaller! Thanks Mohamed! Bah!!!

Pros: - making new friends. - good food. - you will visit the most important temples in Aswan and Luxor. They are impressive. - the room was pretty nice, and they cleaned it daily. - the guy from the cruise shop was very helpful. Cons: - prices for beverages are insane (they are not included). - free time in the temples is too short. - they will take you to shops that are not in the itinerary. - We couldn't make the hot air balloon because they gave priority to other groups, they kept us waiting. Also, no refund was made.

Here things work like this, you book a cruise where they say they pick you up at a certain time and when you ask them to contact the tour operator to reconfirm, they tell you that it is impossible, that it does not answer and that all you can do is wait for them to pick you up. 12 hours trying to contact the tour operator from different mobiles, emails... Come the time (20:00h) you show up at the meeting point with your bags and no one comes to pick you up. The only thing that answers is that they have to talk to the tour operator to request the refund, while you are lying on the street not knowing where you are going to sleep and it does not matter to everyone. Thanks for your attention!!

GOOD: The experience was absolutely fantastic. The tour guide Hamdy did a great job of taking care of everyone. He is super knowledgeable about the sites, was energetic and organised things so well. He took such good care of the group and went above and beyond. The cruise itself was fantastic, the best part of it being the staff. There were multiple events held on board, birthday cakes and laughs had with the kitchen staff. Everyone on board the Hapi 5 boat was friendly and fun. We went on a 6 hour round trip to Abu Simbel which was one of the highlights to the tour, a sight that only some tours have and I would highly recommend. We had some great memories and would definitely go back. BAD: Not everything went to plan... there were multiple leaks in the cabin. The AC was leaking (twice) and the showerhead fell off. The boat you get changes from tour to tour, the one we had was old and needed lots of work. Also the payment was very weird, we got told at the start to pay $108 for all the entry tickets and $25 for tips per person. This was told upfront but not when to pay them. We were then taken to a shop where Hamdy took out a card reader and said to pay there and then, only choices being the card reader with a 3% fee or an inbuilt ATM with 5% fees. It felt wrong being pushed into that situation. Know how much it is and take out cash before. Also loads of people got sick (myself including) and I mean...very sick with one girl puking on the boat and another needing to be taken away for medication. Don't eat the fruit, salad or anything being drenched in tap water which is undrinkable. OVERALL: Had a fantastic time, made some amazing memories and would definitely do it again :)

The landscapes sailing the Nile River are impressive and on land one is surrounded by ancient temples and monuments in general the crossing has been enriching although the free time is very brief and you have to be mentalized that that area of the country does not yet have the necessary standards of Customer Service.

Well organized cruise, the staff is super smiling and warm, and always very helpful. Meals in buffet form, good quality food, with lots of choices. The room is comfortable and very well appointed. The terrace with the pool and bar are just great for enjoying the sun between 2 visits. As for the course of the cruise, nothing wrong. Everything goes perfectly well, the sights to visit are just amazing, our guide Hamdy was great. He was very knowledgeable and accommodating until the end of the cruise. I recommend 100%
