We had a fantastic experience on our Nile cruise. So many places to visit and so much to do! The cabin was lovely and our kids were in the adjoining one next door. The views over the river were spectacular and the kids spent time in the pool, which they loved. Our guide, Khaled el Saady, was very welcoming and nothing was too much for him. He sorted out our locked safe, tipping issue and answered all our questions. I highly recommend the Nile Cruise (Royal Viking) and the guide, Khaled! A brilliant experience for a family!

Organised by Memphis Tours, we cruised the Nile and saw what can only be the most amazing wonders of the ancient world. We took a 3 night package with full-board accommodation (breakfast, lunch, dinner), guided shore excursions to major temples (Luxor, Karnak, Edfu, Kom Ombo, Philae), and a truly excellent Egyptologist guide, Abdo Esmael (Mohamed) who was informative, intelligent and a really nice guy. The sights were life changing, the ruins magnificent. Sometime words can fail. The cruise was nice, the food quite good if we were able to get in ahead of the German tourists, and the room comfortable. There is a custom to offer huge tips, which is something not in our culture, so that underlying expectation for every obligatory service does rankle, but aside from that we had a most memorable time that we highly recommend.

Great experience with the excellent guide Khaled. He’s both knowledgeable and funny, solves any issue and communicates in a clear way. The tour itself was amazing.
