I really had a great time in the Tremisana Lodge! Everything was very well organized, thanks a lot to Ed! All people were friendly and the accommodation and food was great! The tours were comfortable, in nice cars and with very competent guides! We saw a lot of beautiful animals and the whole experience was really incredible! I really recommend the tours from Viva Safaris because it was a unique experience to learn about the wildlife in this wonderful country of South Africa!

From initial contact, through handling payment issues due to technology, and collection from and delivery back to Johannesburg, everything went well. I have to particularly recognise my shuttle drivers. I felt much safer travelling with them than many other drivers throughout the world. Tremisana was a perfect base and between there and Kruger I managed to see most of the animals I wanted to see in Africa. The Tremisana Lodge staff and food were really good, as were the guides. The sunrise, sunset and armed bush walk were highlights. My day tour to Kruger NP was most enjoyable and very informative. Our guide was a real personality. All in all, an incredible experience and excellent value for money.

What a perfect experience from start to finish. They are so well organised with respect to organising and keeping guests informed about their itineraries. The schedule is designed so as to maximise you safari time whilst aslo giving you great variety. The guides really do go above and beyond too. We saw absolutely every animal we were hoping to and more. The ladies who take care of the accommodation are lovely and the meals are excellent. The rooms are also very nice. If I had to find something to critique, am I'm having to think hard, there is a bit of road noise at night so you may want to have ear plugs. Thanks to all the amazing staff 😁

Our second trip with Viva Safaris, and once again, they exceeded our expectations! We did the 5-day Tremisana package, and every moment was incredible. The staff are warm, welcoming, and go above and beyond to make you feel at home. The guides are exceptional—knowledgeable, passionate, and fantastic at spotting wildlife, making each game drive and bush walk a truly unforgettable experience. The food was consistently delicious, with hearty meals that hit the spot after a day of adventure. Tremisana Lodge is a wonderful base—comfortable, relaxing, and surrounded by the sounds of nature. Viva Safaris offers a perfect balance of adventure and comfort, and we couldn’t recommend them more highly. We’re already looking forward to our next trip!

Great Safari with Viva Safaris. Everything from pick-up to drop-off was very organised and there were no issues whatsoever. The program is fully packed, which is nice if you want to spend as much time as possible searching for wildlife. If you are more laid back, then be aware that your days are fully packed beside the first full day where you have a break during the midday. Both the drives in Balule Game Reserve where the lodge is, and the full days in Kruger was very nice. The guides and rangers are super nice and fun and also provide a lot of information. Rooms and food at Tremisana Lodge was really good. Very comfortable especially considering you are inside a park. Will definetly recommend!

We had a wonderful experience on our 5-day safari trip at the Tremisana lodge with Viva Safari tours. We got to see all big-5 and many other animals and birds. Each day was different and well organized. Our Safari explorations were lead by knowledgeable guides (Smiley, Nadine, Raymond, Rocky, and Victor). Passionate about their work, they showed us the magnificent Kruger park and its surrounding game reserves. Highly recommend the morning bush walk as one of the highlights. It all was an unforgettable experience, we miss it already!

Just got back from the tour and was sad to leave. I spend ages before the trip researching Safaris in the area and when i came about this one I was a little skeptical of the price but trusted the reviews. I can see now that the good reviews are well deserved. The guides and drivers are really knowledgeable and easy to talk to, the food was great throughout the stay and they catered to my vegetarian needs. There was plenty to do and see with the itinerary they set and it is varied. Managed to see the big 5 over my time there. Saw so many more incredible animals also. Would go back and spend more time there in a heartbeat. Special thanks to Nadine and Raymond who I spend the most time with.

We really enjoyed our experience, it was my husband, myself and our adult son and his wife. Accommodations were clean and comfortable. Food was good. Staff was amazing! Very knowledgeable and kind. Balule was very beautiful and we saw many animals, elephant and Rhino to name a few! Kruger park drives were comfortable and we saw all big 5 and all but 1 of the ugly 5. Planning to take the grandkids Oct 2025.

My wife and I had booked the 5-day tour with accommodation at Tremisana Lodge. We were picked up almost on time at our hotel and had collected two more tour guests on the way. The transfer trolley was clean and equipped with air conditioning. After about 1.5 hours then the first stop at the rest area Azul and there we got to see rhinos directly and were very surprised about it. After another hour of driving there was lunch and the driver and the vehicle were changed. Another 3 hours later we reached the Tremisana Game Lodge. The rooms are from an older semester and rather spartanly furnished, but clean and everything worked. There was air conditioning that still worked at 35 degrees and the shower gave off hot and cold water. There was also a fridge. What we had missed a bit were sockets, whereby we had here simply used the one existing multiple socket behind the bed. Achja and the wifi at least does not reach to our side of the complex, which was now also not too far from the reception. Wasn't bad though, as we organized a sim card with data volume before, which was really cheap. The facility also made a good impression and was very green, which also provided enough shade. In addition, you are occasionally visited by little monkeys or for dinner by hyenas (who loiter in front of the security fence). Speaking of dinner! The food we freshly prepared on site by the ladies and was very delicious. Only the choice of dishes could be criticized... because there are none. Didn't bother us though, because everything tasted good. The next two days we were on the road with the vehicles in a rather tight program in the surrounding terrain. The guides have shown a very good knack for showing us giraffes, lions, elephants and much more up close. The bushwalk on the second day was also very nice. However, this should have been a little longer for our taste. Overall, it has to be said that we were in the car more than we originally expected. Coupled with the little sleep, this has certainly not been a coffee drive and already tasted the one or the other grains. But you should be aware of this in advance with every safari. On the 3rd and 4th. The day we went to Kruger National Park at 7:45 am (about 1.5 hours). Directions). There we saw, pretty much all the animals you could see. Only leopard and rhinoceros were not granted to us on both days, but this bothered us little, because the nature looks so beautiful green in the rainy season that it more than compensates for it. On 5. Day we went on a morning tour at 5 am with a beautiful sunrise a la Lion King and again many animals. At 7am breakfast and then the departure with luggage to Canyon Viewpoint. The journey there took about 2 hours. Stay were then also only 30min but the view was fantastic. Afterwards we were taken back to Johannesburg to our hotel. We would book this tour again and again and enjoyed the friendly company of the staff and guides very much. Also our group was really cool and worked very well together. The few complaints mentioned were completely irrelevant for us and the whole tour was more than worth their money! So if you are looking for a safari provider in Kruger National Park, we recommend Viva Safari.

Excellent value for cost. Must do 5 days as anything less would be sad. Moderate rooms but excellent guides and learned so much in each safari. Saw all the big 5 and the ugly 5 lol. Don’t forget to bring cash for tips for guides and staff they work long days and definitely worth it. Lots of animals could be seen from the dining area but each safari was amazing with animals welfare and guest safety top of mind. Big big thanks to Andy, smiley, Chrissy, Lucky, Rocky and Ray for making this an amazing experience.
