Spent a day on this hop on, hop off bus and it was great. Great customer service with headphones included. Main stops were Constitution Hill and the Mining District. Great way to see the city. Highly recommend.

Started the tour at the first stop. My tickets were purchased online through Viator so I did not know they needed to be exchanged at their office for paper tickets. The tour operators worked hard to sort out the problem, which they resolved quickly and the bus was able to leave on time. The driver did well, but we went down a street with a lot of low hanging branches that we had to duck on the upper deck. The driver had to take a detour to get away from the trees, but the branches made a mess. At the next stop the driver explained the detour and then came upstairs to sweep up the debris. Headsets were provided and the pre-recorded docents were clear in their explanations/descriptions throughout the tour. The tour covers a good portion of the city and gives a good idea of its many contradictions, the ‘haves’ and the ‘have nots.’ I recommend the tour.
Touristy, but make what you want of it by allowing time at stops and definitely add the Soweto extension

Don't usually do this sort of thing but with only one day in Johannesburg we wanted to cram in as much as possible. Overall a good tour, the highlights being firstly, the Apartheid Museum (don't miss out on spending time here even though it can be shocking in places) Secondly, make sure to add the Soweto option. This is on a smaller open minibus and guided by locals from Soweto, our driver Linda and guide DT (I think, sorry if wrong) were brilliant and highly informative.

What an amazing experience! We had a great time. We were able to explore every part of Johannesburg and understand the history behind the city of Gold. The Soweto tour was the cherry on top with our amazing tour guide who explained every detail about Soweto’s past and present.

Great opportunity for those who do not have many days to visit the city, with this tour this is quite possible. All the buses depart exactly on schedule, which is great for us not to waste time.
