Lion and Safari Park
After pick-ups, we make our way to the Lion & Safari Park, located north of Johannesburg in The Cradle of Humankind. After a brief safety talk, you’re taken on a 2-hour game drive in the predator enclosure in a specialised open safari vehicle. Return to the main centre to spend some time watching the young lion cubs and other animals. You can buy something to eat and drink at the Wetlands Restaurant (own cost) and the youngsters can play safely in the supervised kids’ playground. Pop into the 5 Dome Shopping Experience for a holiday shopping spree. You’ll find a wide range of locally-sourced African arts and crafts, jewellery, clothing and home-ware. After a lovely time at the safari park, your guide drops you back at your accommodation in Johannesburg.

I did the Lion and Safari Park tour. It was amazing. Everything was great from the start. The driver who picked me up at the hotel was amazing. I learned so much about South African culture on the ride to and from the Safari. He was very knowledgeable, friendly and professional. The safari itself was awesome. Saw so many animals. I was amazed. I would def recommend Mo’Afrika Tours to anyone who’s looking for this experience. It’s well worth it.

This was a great excursion. It needed a slightly earlier departure than planned as the outbound journey was hampered by road closures linked to the G20 conference which was being held close to our Johannesburg hotel. The extended journey time did not impact us as we arrived in time for our booked time. It was fascinating to see the animals at close quarters, especially the white lions. We felt safe in the vehicles and our guide was a mine of information to enhance our understanding of the animals.

I recently spent time in both Johannesburg and Cape Town, and the trip was an unforgettable experience with a mix of excitement, culture, and breathtaking scenery. Joburg surprised me with its energy and history. I enjoyed exploring key spots like Sandton, Rosebank and the vibrant local markets. Cape Town was the highlight of the trip. From Table Mountain to the beaches and the Cape Peninsula, every day felt like a postcard. I loved the tours, the ocean views, and the food scene. My transfers and tours were smooth and well-organised, and the guides were friendly and knowledgeable. Cape Town felt safer and more relaxed, and I genuinely enjoyed every moment here.

This was an amazing 2 hour lion park tour. The guide gave us a little history on our way to the park as we went by various places. The tour guide at the Lion park was very funny and knowledgable, making it easier to remember facts about the animals. Great experience!

This was excellent - way more up close than I thought we'd get to the lions! Very reasonable (<1 hour) drive to the park, and then lots of animals. The giraffes walk right up to you. Would definitely recommend!

The tour was really nice. The park is great and you can see predators that you don't get them often in the wild. You also step out of the vehicle and can have contact with some animals
