Visiting Soweto was living history from what we used to study. Soweto and Apartheid Museum are great places to visit and I would recommend them for anyone visiting South Africa. It also includes a trip to Vilakazi where we visited the home of Nelson Mandela. Our tour guide Brian did a wonderful job—he’s so passionate about what he does and he answered all our questions well.

Our tour guide was very informative, patient, and a good driver. We enjoyed the Apartheid museum and although visiting Soweto was emotional, we are glad we completed the tour.

I was able to join a tour of Soweto at the last minute. The guide we had was fantastic - very knowledgeable, very safe driver, etc. He also helped protect us from annoying touts. Recommend this company highly. Unfortunately, while still informative, the Apartheid Museum is looking a bit dumpy these days (it was my second time there). I did see they are working on a refresh at the museum soon, so hopefully it will be back in good shape.

We had a very good trip today. We had expected a guided tour inside the Apartheid Museum, but instead we were given two hours to explore on our own. Unfortunately, we misjudged the time, spent too long at the beginning, and had to rush through the final sections. Perhaps I didn’t pay enough attention to the fine print… That said, we found the museum excellent—informative, powerful, and a stark reminder of the cruelty of the apartheid system. The visit to Soweto and Mandela’s house was amazing and deeply moving. All in all, we’re very happy with the experience—apart from the heavy rain that set in, which, of course, was beyond anyone’s control!
