5.00This tour was fantastic—I highly recommend it! In just half a day, you see all the key highlights of Soweto plus spend about two hours at the Apartheid Museum, which felt like the perfect amount of time. Our guide, Tshepo, was excellent—friendly, knowledgeable, and made the experience even better. A helpful tip: although the tour officially starts at 9:30am, pickup happens earlier. They’ll send you your exact pickup time the day before (mine was between 9:10–9:20am). This was especially useful since I had to choose a pickup point different from where I was staying—I knew exactly when to be there.

4.00The tour around Soweto and its various districts was very educational and a reminder of how fortunate most of us are to have been born into better circumstances. This experience was bettered by the outstanding Apartheid Museum (warning: 2 hours isn’t enough, so select the areas you want to focus on, and ignore the rest). Mandela’s house was less interesting.
