This was a wonderful tour, very informative and physical! Our guide was very helpful and very knowledgeable regarding the wildlife and mangrove forest! Would recommend highly. Our small group of five people were very lucky to have this young man to guide us! I only wish I could remember his name!

There are dozens of operators and many dozens of boats doing similar tours in the Kilim wildlife/ mangrove business. Our tour booked via Booking.com was operated by Fauna Flora Eco Sdn. Bhd, and was excellent. We found that the company follow ecological guidelines of not feeding the monkeys or eagles (enough other boats were feeding them that we didn't need to), and respecting all the animals and vegetation. Our operator required the wearing of life jackets only when on the open water part of the trip, which greatly increased comfort (in most of the narrow river you can stand up). Picked up on time, well organised on arrival at the jetty, guide Qafyl (call me Waffle) was excellent and took good care of all the guests on the boat, and provided excellent commentary and information, including on the monkeys and eagles, and various sea life. A second guide with our boat gave an excellent talk on geology and botany in the Bat Cave - and 'took in hand' a tour group following ours into the cave - 'This is the bat's home and they are asleep. If you can't stop shouting, get out'. Most of that group then followed ours to listen to the superior information being provided by our guide. The first stop at the Floating Restaurant included a lecture on the various fish and horseshoe crabs held there awaiting release. Lunch at the second arrival at the Floating Restaurant as provided was reasonable in quantity and quality, with attention paid to spice tolerance, allergies etc, with the option to purchase alternatives, and ample time to eat with no rush (just prior to the end of the tour). And lots of lemon cordial to drink. It was hot and humid, with little breeze. Take lots of water with you - we took 1.5 litres of water per person, and drank it all. And if you get the choice, request the operator Fauna Flora Eco Sdn. Bhd.

Guides were nice and their English was excellent. Kayaking was lots of fun and the mangroves were cool! Unfortunately, there wasn't that much wildlife to be seen but it was probably due to the hot mid-day weather and dry season. Before heading to th boats and kayaking, there was a quite long wait, which felt unnecessary. Prepare to get wet at the kayak!

It's been a wonderful team-building family trip! Drove with the kid for eight years, and there was no difficulty. At first, we kayaked for two hours through mangrove births, looking at rocks and tree roots. Immediately, I managed to admire the eagles after which the islands are named. Then we had a not-so-satisfying meal (given the distance travelled and the physical activity), but a delicious lunch. Then there was the bat cave. The guide was wonderful - told us a lot about the nature of the islands and showed us animals we had never seen before. 🥰

Wir spent an awesome afternoon on this tour! We were picked up at 2pm at the harbour and had a private transfer to Kilim. We went with two guides (Azri&Sara) on a speedy boat to the starting point- a Fish Farm. We got to know a horseshoe crab, which was very interesting! The Sara ans Azri took us on an amazing kajak tour right through the Mangroves. We saw eagles, crabs and a waran. It was so nice and interesting to see this landscape from nearby and the guides explained it very well! Afterwards we had a nice meal at the Fish Farm. On the way back we stopped at the bat caves. It was a Great experience and we can totally recommend!

The team did an excellent job at making the experience as fun and safe as possible . Definitely one of the best kayaking experiences I’ve done. The meal at the end was also great :)

We joined the Kilim Mangrove Boat Tour in Langkawi with Fauna Flora Eco Sdn Bhd, and it turned out to be one of the best experiences of our entire trip. Our guide, Fauzan, who is also the tour owner and operator, was truly outstanding. His knowledge went far beyond the usual tour script. Whether it was botany, geology, ancient history, animal behaviour or even photography, he had an answer for every question and delivered it with genuine enthusiasm. It never felt superficial; instead, it was clear he deeply cared for the mangrove ecosystem and wanted us to appreciate it just as much. For the price point, I honestly don’t think you could find a better tour. The scenery throughout the tour was breathtaking, and the speedboat operator played a huge role in enhancing the experience. He had a sharp eye for spotting wildlife and made sure we didn’t miss a single animal along the way. Every time something appeared, he’d immediately slow down so we could take it in. He also knew how to have fun, giving us an exhilarating ride with sharp turns and bursts of speed that added a brilliant contrast to the calmer moments of the tour. Food was included, and they were mindful of allergies and dietary requirements, which was a thoughtful touch. Safety was clearly a top priority too. They briefed us on how to interact with the local wildlife, especially the monkeys, and advised against swimming due to jellyfish season. We noticed other tour groups weren’t given the same warnings, which made us appreciate even more how much care went into this experience. The hotel pick-up and drop-off service was also included, which made the whole day smooth and stress-free. The only minor drawback was the toilet situation. At the first stop, you pay a small fee to use the facilities, and at the next stop — a restaurant — the bathrooms were in poor condition. However, this didn’t impact the experience enough to lose a star, especially since they did warn us ahead of time and encouraged us to use the toilets at the first stop, which only cost 1 MYR and were significantly better. Overall, this tour was exceptional from start to finish. It offered stunning nature, top-tier guiding, thoughtful safety measures and brilliant value for money.

Due to maintenance, the Bat Cave was only available for a limited time, but the rest of the trip was definitely worth it! With a small group on a boat to the Cave and then to a fish farm. Because we were the only 2 for the kayak part we went to discover the mangrove with the kayak together with Jan (the rest of the party went on a boat trip). Wonderfully calm looking for a way through the forest. Eagles and monkeys spotted. Then enjoyed a well-deserved delicious lunch. Tired but certainly satisfied with this nice outing we were brought back to our hotel. Thank you to Jan and Fauzan for this well cared for trip!!

I had a wonderful Kayak Tour through the mangrove forest. It was a fantastic experience to paddle peacefully through the winding canals. The guides are very friendly and have a profound knowledge of the local nature, which they share with pleasure. Overall, I can highly recommend this company.
