Upon your arrival at Socotra Airport in Hadiboh, you will be greeted by your friendly local Socotri guides who will be joining you for your trip. They will escort you to a traditional Socotri house, where you can settle in. After a brief orientation, your journey begins along the northern coast, revealing Socotra's unique landscapes, small villages, and unspoiled beaches. We will be driving to the North-East part of the island to Arher Beach, a picturesque spot where we will camp. Arher beach has amazing biggest dunes to the mountain and fresh water originating from the caves to the beach. Relax on the shoreline, climb the dunes, and enjoy dinner before camping at Arher Beach.

Arher Beach
After breakfast, we will drive to Momi Plateau to explore the Kelesehan Canyon. After a short trek to the Homhil protected area, you can swim in the canyon, in a natural infinity pool with panoramic ocean views. We will make your way to Homhil National Park, a terrestrial protected area, you will be able to have your first encounter with the world-famous Dragon’s Blood trees, bottle trees, and other flora that is endemic to the island. It is home to the Boswellia elongata, socotrana and nana (Frankincense). A wonderful opportunity to observe Socotra’s flora, including Frankincense trees and Adenium Obesum. Visit of the Frankincense Forest, one of the ancient forests of Arabic gum. You can buy the incense of the frankincense and resin of Dragon's blood trees from the local people in Homhil, as well as, their handicrafts. Return to Arher for lunch. Choose to relax or hike to the plateau for stunning views.

Dihamri Marine Protected Area
Following breakfast, we journey to Wadi Kalissan, a hidden gem with turquoise pools and waterfalls. Spend the day swimming, cliff-jumping, and exploring the limestone formations. In the afternoon, after lunch, we will be drive to the Dihamri Marine Protected Area. We will be camping here for the night. Dihamri marine protected area, is home to one of the richest coral reefs of the Socotra archipelago. There is much marine life to be seen whilst swimming/snorkeling such as Parrotfish, Moray eel, Sea urchins, etc. Snorkel among marine life or, for experienced divers, explore shipwrecks. At this beach, you will be able to rent snorkeling or scuba equipment to see the gorgeous marine life. There is also countless shells and corals washed up on shore for you to marvel at. Enjoy dinner and camp overnight on Dihamri Beach.

Diksam Plateau
After breakfast, we will drive and ascend to the Diksam Plateau, the home of Dragon’s Blood trees. to the Diksam Plateau and Shebahon viewpoint. This area is renowned for the native Dragon Blood trees and Frankincense trees, the resin and incense of these trees are collected, used in and traded by the people of Socotra. The area is also home to the endemic birds. The Shebahon viewpoint gives you breathtaking views overlooking Dirhour canyon, where we will see unusual yet beautiful rock formations. We will visit Bedouin settlements at a 700-meter-deep gorge. Explore Fermhin Forest, observing Dragon’s Blood trees, and learn about their resin. Afterwards we descend to Wadi Dirhour, a canyon with a freshwater oasis and waterslide. Enjoy an evening under the stars with an exclusive dinner and camping on Diksam Plateau.

Aomak Beach
After breakfast, we will make your way to way to the south cost of Socotra, to Nojid plain through wadi Defarhu crossing Hayf and Zaheq sand dunes, ending at Aomak Beach, with its white sands and tranquil waters. Explore Socotri villages and Dagub Cave, learning its historical significance. Experience Zahek’s white sand dunes at sunset. Climb or slide down the dunes. Enjoy an exclusive overnight camping experience at Aomak Beach or among the dunes.

Today we head west to the protected area of Detwah Lagoon, where the Arabian Sea meets the Indian Ocean. We explore the ecosystem with sea birds and marine life. The lagoon is renowned for its wonderous landscape and marine life. The waters in certain areas of the lagoon are quite shallow for people who do not want to swim. Please be advised that the lagoon is home to an enormous amount of marine life, including stingrays. Please be mindful of this while swimming. For birdwatchers. this is a perfect opportunity to see many seabirds that are endemic to the island Visit Qalnsiya, a charming and picturesque fishing town. You will be able to meet the friendly locals and explore the towns traditional houses and narrow alleyways. Hike to a nearby peak for island views. We will have an exclusive dinner and camp overnight at Detwah Lagoon.

Qalansiyah Beach
After waking up to the tranquility and sunrise of Detwah Lagoon, we make your way Qalansiya Port. From here, we will take a boat tour with a local fisherman on his daily hunt to Shu'ab beach. You will be able to see schools of spinner dolphins on your way to the island. Maybe even Whale sharks. The dolphins are quite playful. and enjoy putting on a show. Also, you have fishing on your way to Shu'ab beach if you are interested in fishing, the boatman will prepare fishing tools. This beach is the most stunning on the island, with its white sandy beaches and crystal-clear teal waters. The pristine beach is like no other, and is complete with mangroves. Spend the day relaxing, swimming, sun lounging and enjoying seafood. Swim with dolphins on the return journey. Or visit the caveman, the caveman will guide you to the lagoon to show the octopus, oysters, crabs, turtles, pufferfish and marine lagoon. End the day with a sunset walk on the sandbank and camp at Detwah Lagoon.

After a week of magical explorations, it’s time to say goodbye to Socotra Island. After an early breakfast, transfer to Socotra International Airport for your departure. The return flight to Abu Dhabi departing times may differ. The itinerary may be adjusted based on seasonal weather conditions. We will be providing you with an updated travel itinerary and keep you informed of any changes in scheduling.
