Maasai Mara National Reserve

At 8 o'clock you will be picked up from your Nairobi Hotel and commence the drive to Maasai Mara. You will pass via the Great Rift Valley view point where you will have a stop over of 10 -15 minutes to view the rift valley. Lunch will be at the camp in Maasai Mara. In the afternoon after you check in depart for a sunset evening game viewing drive in the Mara Reserve (4.00 to 6.00p.m). Masai Mara Reserve is the most popular tourism destination in Kenya. Located in the Great Rift Valley in primarily open grassland. Wildlife is most concentrated on the reserve’s western escarpment. It’s regarded as the jewel of Kenya’s wildlife viewing areas

You will have a stop over at the Great Rift Valley point, Mai Mahiu Road, where you will have a breaking view of the floor of the rift valley. The rift valley system was formed 5 million years ago and the rift runs from the red sea through Ethiopia and Kenya and Tanzania. The rift valley is an active volcanic area and has some of the most interesting features including more than 8 lakes, dormant and active volcanic mountains and hotsprings and geysers like the Olkaria geothermal wells and Lake Bogoria geysers. You can actually see the volcanic Mt Suswa and Mt Longonot from this high place with their evergreen craters and the undulating green rift valley floor. The view from here is just amazing. Maasai Mara National Reserve

At around 7:00 am after breakfast, you will leave for a full day exploring Masai Mara in search of the Big Five. At midday, you will have picnic lunch in the park which is provided by us. You will visit the site of the yearly wildebeest migration and see the resident crocodiles and hippos sited at the banks of Mara river. It is in the Mara that perhaps the most spectacular event of the natural world takes place; the phenomenal seventh wonder of the world. The wildebeest migration where over 1.5 million animals migrate annually from the Serengeti (in Tanzania) in search of water and pastures. Following on their heels are the predators of the savanna – lions, cheetahs, jackals, hyenas and vultures.

Mara River

The Mara River is a river in Narok County (Kenya) and in Mara Region (Tanzania), and lies across the migration path of ungulates in the Maasai Mara/Serengeti game reserves. This is the site where the wildebeest migration takes place. There are a lot of resident hippos and crocodiles.

Serengeti National Park

After breakfast drive to Serengeti National Park, passing through rich farmland until reaching the lush montane forests of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area Crater Highlands. After ascending and descending the rift escarpment. In the afternoon, continue game-viewing in the Serengeti. Undoubtedly the best-known wildlife sanctuary in the world, the Serengeti is home to the highest density of animals in the world as well as being unrivalled for its natural beauty, diversity and scientific value. During your daily game drives you'll witness the annual ancient drama of life, death and rebirth in this primeval wilderness

Migration at Serengeti National Park

The great Serengeti wildebeest migration is the movement of vast numbers of the Serengeti's wildebeest, accompanied by large numbers of zebra, and smaller numbers of Grant's gazelle, Thomson's gazelle, eland and impala. These move in an annual pattern which is fairly predictable. They migrate throughout the year, constantly seeking fresh grazing and, it's now thought, better quality water.

Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, a full day with morning and afternoon game drives to explore the plains, Serengeti is easily Tanzania's most famous national park, and it's also the largest, at 14,763 square kilometers of protected area that borders Kenya's Masai Mara Game Park It is the Migration for which Serengeti is perhaps most famous. Over a million wildebeest and about 200,000 zebras flow south from the northern hills to the southern plains for the short rains every October and November, and then swirl west and north after the long rains in April, May and June. So strong is the ancient instinct to move that no drought, gorge or crocodile infested river can hold them back. The Wildebeest travel through a variety of parks, reserves and protected areas and through a variety of habitat. Serengeti Hippo Pool

This is an area in the Central Serengeti where there is permanent pools of water with lots of hippos. They live here all year long and graze the nearby bushes at night

Ngorongoro Conservation Area

Early breakfast, proceed directly to the Crater floor for a full day crater tour to explore the largest inactive and intact volcanic caldera in the world. Also called Africa's garden of eden it harbors a variety of wildlife and birdlife for all to witness its beauty. Lunch will be at a picnic site with packed lunch from the lodge.

Ngorongoro Crater

Early breakfast and depart with packed lunch and game drive. Arrive and descend to the crater floor with game drive. Ngorongoro Crater- The largest unbroken caldera in the world, Ngorongoro has an area of 260 kilometers and a depth of 610 meters.

Lake Manyara National Park

After breakfast, proceed for a full day game drive in beautiful Manyara National Park. Get a chance to see the tree climbing lions, buffalo, giraffe, zebra and many more species. Get a chance to see the soda ash lake that attract thousands of pink flamingoes, all set against the stunning backdrop of the Great Rift Wall.

Arusha

Early morning half-day game drive in Lake Manyara National Park that begins at 7 a.m. Depart for Arusha and arrive around 4 p.m. Check-in at the Venus premier Hotel for a relaxing dinner. Bed and breakfast are all included.

Eat breakfast at 6:30 a.m., and then depart for Nairobi with a morning luxury shuttle that departs at 7 a.m. Arrive around 3 p.m. in Nairobi. Onward drop off to the airport or to the hotel within Nairobi.
