What To Expect
• We will start our morning with visit to the Gandantegchinlen Monastery. In the morning, lamas get together to pray. They will answer your questions at the Mongolian Buddhist Centre. • Continue driving to Aglag Buteel Temple. The place was founded by a Buddhist artist and scholar using natural outcrops and settings. The temple area has unusual compelling sites and artifacts to demonstrate. Except outdoor exposures, on the second floor of the main building, a small museum of owner’s private collection offers strange creatures of nature such as 4horned ram skull, single horned ibex skull, full crocodile skin, 5 headed fish and so on. • Lunch • Excursion around the temple and museum • Return back to Ulaanbaatar. Transfer to your accommodation.

5.00Amazing experience! My guide Odko was extremely helpful and nice. The temple and the surroundings are really beautiful, they worth a visit! Just pay attention, if you'd like to see the statues you have to climb a bit. (Nothing difficult but better let everyone know)

4.00There was a big miscommunication with my tour guide about what this tour should entail, the tour operator was very apologetic and made an effort to make up the missed part of the tour the next day however. I felt like on the first day of the tour to Aglag Buteel I recieved very little guidance, and more often then not I was being left behind and alone by my tour guide without much information about the temple. The next day the tour guide had to makeup the Gandan Temple part of the tour, and she offered a lot more guidance and instruction, it was much better. I understand I am quiet, but I still paid for a tour and I kind of felt like I could have just hired a driver to take me to Aglag Buteel for much less money and walked around by myself instead. The guidance I was given by the guide for the Gandan Temple part of the tour was much better, I hope that going forward that’s the kind of guidance each patron will receive.

5.00A fantastic tour up into the snow capped mountains. The hike up to the temple was steep but the view from the top was breathtaking.
