It was a great experience. So many animals to see up close and personal. Lunch was very good, cooked and served in the national park picnic area.

Great experience & our guide Joel made the day. I spent ages looking at options & reviews before choosing this one & was nervous about whether I’d chosen the right one with not knowing the specific vehicle type, guides knowledge etc. Joel runs this family business & made the tour fun, gave us lots of information & provided a superb African Braai lunch which added to the whole experience. He was obviously passionate about his role & keen for us to have a great experience. He has years of experience & seemed to be known to other guides in the park who share information about the animals positions during the day. Unfortunately there was a lot of rain when we visited which meant we saw less ‘top 5’, but we still saw elephants up close, zebras, warthogs, jackals, ostriches, kudus & dung beetles - which we learnt about & now have respect for these small creatures! Limited reviews for this tour as people seem to book through other routes (one of my concerns). Quick response when I messaged via what’s app on the tour providers website - African sightings adventures tour & safaris. We drove round in an open style jeep which held 9 of us comfortably (he says he has up to 14 but usually hires another guide so there’s no more than 10 in one vehicle), again I was concerned about an open vehicle with having kids with us, we had the canvas windows down only, which gave great visibility & Joel provided ponchos & blankets as it was raining. It was a better experience as we had a high seat & an open view- would definitely recommend this experience over a closed car. Also given binoculars to share, we were amazed that Joel spotted animals so far into the distance which he guided us to view. Long review but as I was so conflicted about choosing I wanted to write a full review!

We had a great private tour for two through Addo Park. Joel left none of our wishes and his barbecue was world-class, including the tomato pesto based on his grandmother's recipe. The pictures of the infinite number of elephants, especially the bathing elephants with their calves at the big waterhole will remain in our memory for a long time.

The full day safari went beyond our expectations. It was an unforgettable experience. Our guide Joel is not only an excellent guide but also a nice person, passionate and always willing to transfer his knowledge. We saw Elephants of course but also a lion and a lioness from very close and all sorts of animals.

Our safari withbJoel from African Sightings Adventure Tours at Addo Elephant Park was absolutely outstabding! From the moment we met him, we could tell how much he loves what he does! His deep knowledge of the animals, warm personality, and genuine care for his guests made the experience so special! We learned so much and had so many beautiful moments - an experience we will treasure forever! Joel also cooked us a delicious lunch, a traditional Braai which just made the entire day perfect! If you’re visiting Addo, book with Joel! You won’t regret it.

An Incredible Day of Safari at the Addoelephant Park: We Welcoming and Particularly Warm and Enthusiastic Accompaniment from our Guide Joel, who introduced us to all the beatings of the heart of the park. We were delighted with the amount of information about the history and life of the park. We were also spoiled for the diversity and quantity of animals we encountered, with a creamy braii he carefully concocted for us: an authentic treat of body and mind. We definitely recommend this magnificent tour with our Amazing Guide Joel. Hakuna Matata

We went on a day trip to Addo Elephant Park. Joel was an absolutely amazing host and guide! His knowledge of the wildlife is never ending and he knew where to go for the best sightings. Along with a stop for tea and coffee, he prepared a full African Braai from scratch and the food was delicious!! He was extremely attentive and made sure that we were comfortable. His personality is infectious, he's extremely professional and he made us feel like part of the family. Joel has it dialed in, I would definitely recommend him without question!!!!

When coming to PE make sure you go on a trip with African Sightings as Joel is a top notch guy. He will show you the beauty of Addo, its hidden spots and where to see the best wildlife. Additionally to that he will cook you a handmade lunch which was delicious. Being a guide myself, Joel is truly second to none. Don’t wait and book your day trip with him.
