Incredible experience. My driver/guide/newfound friend was Tologon! He was personable, patient, and knowledgeable. The hike itself was long and of medium difficulty, but the views were spectacular and breathtaking. We did this hike in mid-December so be sure to wear appropriate clothing for the weather. I can’t recommend this enough, such a great way to see Kyrgyzstan.

I had my trip today (10th Dec 2025) and it was amazing. Tulegen my guide, driver and all round nice guy was fantastic. It was the first day of proper snow so it was a winter wonderland for me and Tulegen made sure I was wide eyed and safe throughout. Two enthusiastic thumbs up 👍

Excellent experience - beautiful day for a hike up into the mountain! Our tour guide Zamir picked us up at the hotel in Bishkek and drove us up to Ala Archa Nature Park. We even had a chance to feed some of the birds and squirrels. Highlight was stopping by a trout restaurant on the way back to the city from the mountain. It was really an amazing experience and I'm so glad Zamir suggested this.

We had a fantastic time at the Ala Archa National Park. It’s an absolutely amazing place and must be one of the highlights of our trip. Our guide Aziz was the best and done everything he could to make us enjoy the day out. He was full of local knowledge and he’s a great ambassador for Kyrgyzstan

A great half day in majestic scenery. It was an opportunity to have a lovely walk in fantastic nature and so close to the centre of Bishkek . The tour company was incredibly flexible after I gave them the wrong pick up address.

A wonderful trip to the place of Ala Archa, with incredible views and landscape. Our guide Djirgálbek was nice and welcoming, and explained the park and his life in Kirghizistan. We just didn't see that many animals during summer ( just one squirrel ). But the mountain is wonderful and the travel is accessible for all.

Aziz picked us up from our hotel. Comfortable ride from Bishkek centre to Ala Archa. Once there it was an easy walk. He gave us some advice for the rest of our days in Kyrgyzstan.

Tours are quite expensive, about $100 with a guide, so I've been doing it on my own. It takes about 45 minutes by taxi (Yandex) from the center of Bishkek to reach the entrance to the park with a large parking lot. You pay the entrance fee, and when you enter through the entrance gate, free circular buses frequently exit to the trailhead. The paved road is about 15 minutes away at the trailhead, and there are hotels and restaurants. Information boards indicated various hiking and climbing routes. The main route is also well-maintained, with sneakers suffice and magnificent valley beauty with snowy mountains in the distance. I made some progress except on the main route, but it is difficult without climbing shoes because of the bad footing. On the way back, Yandex was immediately grabbed, so there was no need to worry.

The scenery on the tour was very picturesque. For a half day tour from Bishkek it was a little expensive. Our tour guide Aziz was very friendly and informative and he gave us options of where to walk in park. My partner felt unwell on the walk and Aziz was very caring and concerned for him. He made every effort to ensure his safety and we walked back down the hill successfully.

Went on a tour around the national park with my friend and another traveller we met, had the most amazing experience, such a beautiful place, saw loads of wildlife including horses, marmots and squirrels. Have never seen such natural beauty, truly a one of a kind place, and our guide Aziz was fantastic telling us all about the area, pointing out the wildlife and making it a great time! Would definitely go again if I ever get the chance, highly recommend.
