What To Expect
Tiananmen Square
Your friendly tour guide will meet you at your hotel in Beijing in the morning. You will firstly visit Tiananmen Square, the largest public square of this kind in the world. The visit here allows you to have a glimpse at the outside of Memorial Hall of Chairman Mao, the Monument to the People's Heroes, the magnificent Great Hall of the People, the National Museum of China, the ancient Zhengyang Gate and Arrow Tower as well as the Tiananmen Tower which leads to the well-known Forbidden City.
The Palace Museum
Then move on to the Imperial Palace, also known as the "Forbidden City", the largest and best-preserved ancient imperial palaces group with 500 years history. The palace was built between 1406 and 1420, but was burnt down, rebuilt, sacked and renovated countless times, so most of the architecture you can see today dates from the 1700's and onwards.

5.00A wonderful full day of sightseeing. We had limited time in Beijing and decided to hire a private tour and car. We weee so lucky to have Sunny as our tour guide and Mr Fang as our driver. We were able to see so much that we would never have been able to see on our own. Sunny was absolutely delightful. She taught us so much about the Chinese history/ culture making sure we saw all the most important parts. She was also a fantastic photographer. A day we will never forget

5.00A lovely tour, with a good amount of history, beautiful architecture and good adaptability for our private family tour. Our tour guide Maggie, has excellent understanding of our language , English, and makes great effort to help us understand everything that she says. She knows where all the best picture spots are and accommodates this. Our tour was made special, as we requested to swap the destination of Tian'anmen square, for another sight seeing opportunity, the lama temple, as we had already done the Tian'anmen square part another day. The fact this company and Maggie accommodated this as our request, made the day much more valuable and personal to us. Thank you .

5.00Maggie was very good at personalising the experience for us and she was able to really make our visit to Beijing special. I really would recommend this trip, Maggie took us to a very good authentic Chinese restaurant and helped us choose a mix of dishes from different provinces. She was very good at sharing historical facts about these places too which made the trip even more interesting. The lake was frozen solid at summer palace so was really fascinating to see.

5.00An excellent tour with Jeffrey. He was very knowledgeable and made sure we saw all the highlights. He even accommodated our request to see the Qianlong garden at the Palace of Tranquil Longevity. Lunch at a local restaurant was a feast of delights. We ended the tour with a tea tasting. Highly recommended!

5.00We have just finished our private day tour of Beijing with the amazing Maggie our guide. Maggie's knowledge and passion for Chinese history is incredible. She answered every question we had and kept the pace of the day moving at a great level for us. Lunch at a local restaurant was also included which was absolutely delicious. Having a private tour meant our car was always only moments away when needed and gave us flexibility in our day. We would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Beijing as you cover so much in one day.
