What To Expect

Tiananmen Square (Tiananmen Guangchang)

Your friendly tour guide will meet you at your hotel in Beijing in the morning. You will firstly visit Tiananmen Square, the largest public square of this kind in the world. The visit here allows you to have a glimpse at the outside of Memorial Hall of Chairman Mao, the Monument to the People's Heroes, the magnificent Great Hall of the People, the National Museum of China, the ancient Zhengyang Gate and Arrow Tower as well as the Tiananmen Tower which leads to the well-known Forbidden City.

Forbidden City-The Palace Museum

Then move on to the Imperial Palace, also known as the "Forbidden City", the largest and best-preserved ancient imperial palaces group with 500 years history. The palace was built between 1406 and 1420, but was burnt down, rebuilt, sacked and renovated countless times, so most of the architecture you can see today dates from the 1700's and onwards.

We had an exceptional tour with Linda (Ling Ling)! She was so considerate of us that we felt like old friends. Because of Linda’s excellent English language proficiency and her vast knowledge of each site we visited, we felt we got the most out of the time spent on this one-day tour. It was an unhurried day, but we saw so much. Do yourself a favor and ask for Linda!

The tour was excellent with our guide Rita. We visited the Tiananmen square, The forbidden city and Temple of Heaven. Had a wonderful day. All places are very interesting and our guide made it more interesting and enjoyable. Highly recommend this tour and the tour guide Rita.
