So good! You should do this. Seriously, spend the extra few bucks. Totally worth it. Courtney was great with communication before our trip and picked us right up from the parking lot at the cruise ship dock. She is an amazing guide with a wealth of knowledge and she'll narrate the entire journey for you. In the area for over 40 years, she knows all the nooks and crannies between Whittier and Anchorage. Glaciers! Growlers! Goats! Belugas! Eagles nest! Historic trains! Scenic vistas! And that's just what you can see from the road. Courtney will drive you to where you can hike to a glacier, show you salmon spawning grounds and explain the entire spawning process, get you a reserved table at the best restaurant in town, and hook you up with local history and info you won’t get anywhere else. She knows almost everything you can think of about the Anchorage Wildlife Conservation Center, including the names of the animals and their histories. She also provides drinks, snacks and niceties in a super clean Mercedes Sprinter Van. Save yourself the hassle and crowds. You'll be jumping in and our of your private van from all the best spots while the crowds in the motorcoaches are circling around each other. Go with Epic and Courtney! Def worth the extra cost. It’s so good to have your own private shuttle. So good! Epic Alaska was an amazing way to end our Alaskan vacation.

Cortney with Epic Alaska is an amazing guide!!! She was right on time picking us up from Whittier and took us everywhere we wanted, eventually dropping us off at our Airbnb in Anchorage. The Mercedes splinter van was clean and roomy. Cortney is local to Anchorage. So, she’s very knowledgeable about the area. She also had some great snacks and huge water bottles for us. Highlight was hiking Byron Glacier trail because we went early before the crowd arrived. Highly recommended!
