Join Adelaide’s only hop-on, hop-off Barossa Valley winery tour service departing from the Adelaide CBD. A comfortable bus collects from the Stamford Plaza Hotel (Adelaide CBD) at mid-morning, then once in the region, we follow a recurring timetable circuit that takes 50-60 minutes to complete, in which time we visit all 10-15 of the selected venues. We follow this same timetable each and every hour until it’s time to return to the city in the late afternoon (approx 5pm). Each circuit takes approx 60 minutes to complete, giving you plenty of time to sample that venue's offering. Along the way, you are free to hop-on or off at any of the selected stops on the timetable, so that in a full day tour you are likely to see up to 4 wineries of your choosing, at your own pace, and independently from the other groups on the bus. Return home to the city in the late afternoon, disembarking approx 5.30pm.

Barossa Valley
Barossa is a beautiful region, with historic villages, vineyards and farms dotting a patchwork vista. The scenery from within the cellar doors is as impressive as it is from the road, with tasting rooms steeped in history and atmopshere, or newly sited to make the most of stunning surrounds.
Experience the Barossa Valley as though you were driving yourself. The trail features a variety of the region’s best offerings – whether it’s Maggie Beer’s must-visit shop, the wood fired pizzas and modern cuisine at Saltram, the bakeries, cheesemongers and cafes at Angaston and Tanunda, or the wonderful 'locavore' options at Charles Melton winery. Alternatively you could always bring a picnic and relax in the beautiful lush gardens of Yalumba.

Great way to see the Barossa valley, pick and choose which wineries to visit, and see the countryside. Our tour guide was also very friendly.

Right from the start Yvette kept us amused with her humour and safe with her driving. A mixed group of couples and some lads who were just there for the fun, even Harry who had a bit of a thick head from the night before. Wineries choice was spot on. Our favourite was Lambert - wine was great and Micky our host was knowledgeable and good fun - good luck herding cows up north!!. Stayed there for lunch and would recommend that. Hop on hop off really worked well and Yvette made sure we stayed on track. All in all a great day out and from the Pom on board AWESOME and may your business thrive.

The best way to experience tastings of several wineries of your choice in the Barossa Valley. Our driver Yvette offered clear explanations of what to expect for those who hadn’t had the opportunity to read the itinerary in advance. All in all a great day out.

A great day of hop-on/hop/off touring around the Barossa with visits to some fabulous vineyards. Our driver, Brett, was first class in organising and offered plenty of advice. The wineries we visited were varied, offering for different tastes. Bethany vineyards riesling was the star of the show for me. A small vineyard but a real treat. Lambert wood-fired pizza followed by the Chocolatier was terrific and Yalumba offered some great reds tasted in an outstanding setting. All-in-all an exceptionally well organised trip with great company. How could you not enjoy yourself?

Our driver was very friendly, knowledgeable and informative. He was able to talk in detail about interesting landmarks on the route to the Barossa valley. He guided us to some great vineyards with great rationale for each. The trip was great value overall. My wife is a very nervous passenger and at times she would have preferred he talked to landmarks rather than physically point them out whilst driving but that’s about the only negative of the trip.

Really enjoyed this tour. Beautiful area and a nice selection of wines. Yalumba was my favorite but they were all great.

We recently did the Barossa Valley Wine Tour from Adelaide with Trail Hopper. The booking process was excellent. Everything was very clearly explained and we were able to plan a wonderful day. Our guide, Dean, was knowledgable, warm and fun. We made three stops, including a 2-hour stint at Yalumba Winery, where we had a tasty lunch. A fabulous experience. Unfortunately, when we returned to our cruise ship, my wife could not find her prescription sunglasses. She had definitely taken them on the tour, but at some point she had misplaced them. Since our ship was shortly departing, we concluded that we had zero chance of being reunited with them. We messaged Trail Hopper to ask if they could check the vehicle just in case the glasses had been left on it. The following day, we received a call, email and WhatsApp message from Cherie at Trail Hopper to say that the glasses had been found. By now we were in the middle of the ocean! Cherie then went above and beyond to arrange for the glasses to be mailed to an accommodation in Tasmania that we were booked to stay at post-cruise. We are now at this accommodation and my wife is once again wearing her sunglasses….all thanks to the Trail Hopper team! What fantastic service! Thank you Cherie and team.

We had an outstanding experience on the hop-on hop-off tour of the Barossa Valley wine region from Adelaide: the team was extremely professional and attentive to every guest, even providing bottled water throughout to keep us hydrated. The flexibility of the itinerary really sets this tour apart from more rigid wine-tours— we easily visited four wineries, sampled local vintages at our own pace, and enjoyed the freedom to stay as long as we liked at each stop. Highly recommended for anyone looking to explore Barossa Valley stress-free, with great service and plenty of wine tasting!
