For our first trip to Bath, my mom, sister and I thoroughly enjoyed the Bath Tootbus tour. It was a great way to travel around this beautiful, historic city and the audio guide was detailed on the history and pleasant to listen to (unlike an annoying, corny audio on a similar London bus tour we took earlier in the week). The drivers and staff were super courteous and helpful, and the bus was not crowded at all. In fact, on the City Tour, we had the bus to ourselves mid-morning on a Friday. There are two routes - City that travels on an inner loop around all the famous sites and the Skyline tour that takes you around the outskirts with stunning views of the city below. I definitely recommend taking both tours. My only minor criticism is that the bus on our City tour did not have windshield wipers on the top level, which would have been nice in this rainy city.

We had several drivers. Two were great. One didn’t stop at all the scheduled stops so we had to you around a second time, the red line audio was very good. The Skyline audio was inaudible. I had to turn it off. I would not use this service again if I return to Bath. I have used hop on bus service in cities all over Europe. This was the worst.

Having used this experience previously i was excited to take my Family to share the amazing experience we had the first time. Unfortunately the expectations were not met. The costs were astronomic this time around, I understand inflation, but wow, I was shocked at the mark up on the tickets. The bus did not pass all sites described on the map, which was dissapointing. I can see the personal touch has gone, no guide anymore, instead you have headphones, sign of the times I understand. The driver was a great Sales Person, but we feel very mis sold. Apparently CCTV says there was no issues with the trip, so there you have it. Technology knows better than listening to the customer. Really dissapointed.

A very good way to see the Lovely city of Bath. Very easy to book and you can hop on and off as you wish. We were lucky enough to have a nice day, so were able to sit on the upper deck

We had a limited amount of time so we only rode the city tour bus. The driver was amazing the way he handed a giant bus. Very professional. Narration via ear phones was fine. Wasn’t sure where to get off.

We had a quick visit, it was rainy and cold , this is a nice option to stay dry & listen to some entertaining facts. It’s not deep history being told , but you at least get an overall idea. You are also given an option to get off wherever you want & you can use the ticket for two days.

Booked on-line and saved 8% - tickets arrived by email but also when I downloaded the TOOTBUS and the Get Your Guide apps. Went on the City Tour route first but the QR Code wouldn’t scan. The driver trusted us as we had the email from the day before. I updated the app and the driver said it scanned OK when we got off. Very good for seeing where things were for us, though lots of local verbal history too. Second route was the Skyline route, which was more outskirts and scenic, but still some nearer things not seen in the first tour. We used the two-day ticket twice more the next day to get to different sights, so no extra cost or bus/taxi fare. Bear this hop on -hop off use in mind. The only odd thing was I received a message on Day 3 saying I needed to activate my tickets - a bit weird.

The city tour is good, with excellent commentary. Beware on the Skyline tour though - We went on the Skyline tour to the American Museum. The map said that the bus stopped there - it doesn't! It's a 20 minute walk over muddy fields and down a steep hill. Luckily we visited on a sunny day but this would be awful to navigate in the rain. Also those with reduced mobility would not be able to manage it. Unfortunately the drivers have NO knowledge of Bath and any queries are met with a response of 'Google it'!

Fantastic trip on Tootbus and enjoyable experience viewing this amazing city. The Local Authority need to trim down the long branches which can be injurious to passengers at the top of the bus.
