Kilimanjaro National Park
Marangu Gate (1,800m/5,905ft) to Mandara Hut (2,743m/9,000ft) Elevation Gain: 915 meters, 3,000 feet Leave bustling, colorful Moshi early for the drive to Marangu Gate, the threshold of magnificent Kilimanjaro. It’s just an hour’s drive, but you’ll be captivated by the countryside – coffee and banana plantations, through picturesque Marangu village, with Kilimanjaro rising majestically ahead of you. We’ll register you at the Marangu Gate (because we don’t want to lose you!) and then your adventure will begin. At first, the ridged trail is narrow as you wander through the rainforest. It’s lush and misty, with the trees adorned with moss. The canopy overhead is alive with birdsong and strange rustlings – is that a colobus? Mongoose might scuttle ahead of you. You’ll also meet tired hikers descending from the summit. Give them a high five for effort. The hike to Mandara Hut is around three hours so stop to rest your legs and have a tasty lunch at the Hut and once you’ve replenished yourself, take the short but challenging walk to the Maundi Crater. On a clear day, the views to the east over Taveta and to the northwest to Mawenzi Peak are stunning. Don’t forget your camera! After basking in the beauty of it, you’ll hike back down to the Marangu Gate where our vehicle will be waiting for you to drive you, tired but happy, back to Moshi. This Kilimanjaro day hike is suitable for most people, even if you’re a little unfit!

5.00We had a best moments with kilinge adventures a one day trip to marangu it was good memories and experience we get there accompanied with best service from kilinge adventure servant The hiking take almost 4 to 5 hours for 8 kilometres communication was well organised clearly and easily understood to everyone The guide taught us lot of story about the hiking ,nature ,landscape and so many others attractive features Also we had good lunch the chef did well because he cooked a very tasteful food The hike was a great challenge for one of ours friend but guides and others servants help us to reach at the targets I highly recommend kilinge adventure is best company they provide good service at affordable price thank you very much for your kindness

5.00We had a best moment ever since I came here in kilimanjaro it was amazing day to travel with kilinge adventure a good company wich offers good service we used almost 4 hours to go up and 3 to come back it wasn't easy at all but finally tried our level best to reach the target Our guides Stephano did well was knowledgeable ,helpful ,clear ,and very friendly with lots of good stories about the mountain ⛰️ the culture of Chaga,nature of mountain really was incredible description was clear at all ,a day hiking was too beautiful Also we had good Tanzanian local foods and drinks the chef was did well in this category we enjoyed it Thank you kilinge adventure for good service at affordable price ,good team work support we had from them porters ,chef guides I highly recommend kilinge adventure for anyone looking for well organized professional and memorable expedition

5.00Incredible day trip with kilinge adventure I had an amazing day trip with kilinge adventure from start to end the experience was well organised, safe and full of unforgettable moments our guide was friendly knowledgeable and clear made everyone felt comfortable throughout the jorney Lush forest flowing steam and peaceful villages landscape really was incredible moments ,.visiting the marangu waterfall was one of highlights, the hike was refreshing and view were absolutely worth it,I also we enjoyed learning about chagga culture and food including traditional banana drink(mbege) and historical caves .The local s were warm and welcoming which made the experience even more special The best experience I had with kilinge adventure was wonderful but also we saw some difficult s because it was our first time to hike The entire trip was relaxing.
