Lindos

Lindos is one of the most impressive archaeological sites not only in Greece but also in the world. It has traces of different civilizations. Ancient Greek, Roman, Byzantine traditions blend here with the Medieval heritage of knights of the Order of Saint John. The visit to Lindos is like time travel via centuries and civilizations! If you go there, you will be delighted not only by the history but also by divine beauty. Take your time strolling lovely narrow streets of the village abundantly decorated with flowers, fruit trees, oriental tiles and small fountains. You will be impressed by incredible view of the harbors. The Acropolis of Lindos is on top of 116m cliff, the visit is OPTIONAL please note that to reach it, you must climb 300 steps—no elevators are available. Guests who choose to visit will be accompanied by the guide. Those who prefer to stay in the village can enjoy leisure time for shopping, lunch, or exploring.

The tour guide JOANNA (IOQNNA DERMATI) was excellent. She told us the interesting history of Rhodes and gave very good explanations of the places we visited. When visiting Lindos, she arranged transportation for those with walking difficulties. We had a very enjoyable tour of Rhodes. Thank you very much Johanna and thanks to the driver also!

Great and punctual tour guide. Amazing stops including olive oil, pottery and the wonderful little town in Rhodes. We also had a wine tasting that was fabulous. Dimitria was very knowledgeable and informative. We really enjoyed our tour.

we had a wonderful tour guide named Joanna. We started off by heading out to a family owned ceramic that is six generations old. After that, we headed to Lindos, where we climbed the Acropolis. Not everyone did the climb, there’s plenty of shopping and eateries if you choose not to do the climb. You can take donkeys up there or take the 300 step walk. The views from the Acropolis and all the way up the walkway were amazing. When we finished with Lindo’s we headed back to the medieval city in Rhodes and went through the medieval town, Rhodes is a very beautiful city and is a must when visiting..
