i had a great time and the trip was totally worth it as we have seen a lot of different birds - sandpipers, curlews, spoonbills, redshanks, marsh harriers and even an osprey with a fish the guide explained all the details and helped to timely identify the birds so we did not miss anything) I would love to come again to check this place at another time of the year

We went on a bird watching tour in late October. Carlos was a fantastic guide who really knew his stuff and where to find the birds. We got to see some fantastic species including Flamingo’s, Ospreys and Avocets. I really recommend this tour as the wildlife so close to Lisbon is amazing

We thoroughly enjoyed our estuary experience with Carlos on the boat, River Friends. It was such a nice change from city touring. There were so many birds! Flamingo, spoonbill cranes, osprey and several others. Carlos was very knowledgeable about the estuary and wildlife.

My mom and I had a great day on the water with Carlos. He's very friendly and the boat is in wonderful condition. Carlos was a knowledgable guide about both birds and the area. It was a much better experience than going out on a big, generic tour. Carlos was happy to gear the tour in whatever direction we wanted. We saw flamingos, spoonbills, ibis and even an osprey.

My family had a lovely 3 hour boat tour with Carlos. We saw countless flamingoes and even a few spoonbills which was exciting! Carlos made us feel comfortable and was passionate about Lisbon’s nature. Aside from the birds it was nice to be out on the water and view the city from a different perspective. The boat was clean and comfortable and we were fortunate to have calm waters for a smooth ride. As a note, Carlos said 8 is the max the boat can fit before it gets cramped.

Carlos was an incredible birding guide. We saw many types of birds and in significant numbers. As a side benefit, we saw beautiful Lisbon and the Tejo Nature Reserve.

This was a wonderful way to see nature and enjoy the beautiful river. As a birder, I was happy that even at this time of year, there were a lot of good species... such as hundreds of glossy ibis. Carlos is super friendly and knowledgeable about both birds and Lisbon. Everything was on time, and worked perfectly.

Carlos told us at the start of the tour that his boat had engine problems. We all agreed to carry on with the trip. In the event the boat didn't get us to see the birds. The important thing is that Carlos was primarily concerned about safety and skillfully got us back to the marina. And he kept up a cheerful manner, despite the fact that he was obviously disappointed about not being able to provide the full tour. He talked about the birds on the estuary and the environmental issues they faced while nursing the boat back home. I would have no problem going back to Carlos to guide us on the river

We enjoyed our boat trip in the estuary, 5 passengers on board. Low tide, so lots of mud flats and pools. There are a variety of birds and a beautiful view of the city and the bridge. Our guide and boatman was very knowledgeable. Some of the birds we saw were, Eurasian Spoonbill, western Marsh Harrier, Pied Avocet, Black Winged Stilt, and a Purple Heron. I highly recommend this trip.
