Prambanan Temples
The second destination on our tour introduces you to another facet of ancient Javanese spirituality - Prambanan Temple, a spectacular UNESCO World Heritage Site and the largest Hindu temple complex in Indonesia. Witness the grandeur of Hindu architecture, characterized by tall, pointed structures, intricately engraved with scenes from Hindu mythology. The complex, built in the 9th century, is dedicated to the Trimurti - Brahma, Vishnu, and Shiva - each housed in a separate towering shrine. 5.00After our long trip from Jakarta, we were looking for a way to visit Borobudur and Prambanan without feeling rushed. Booking a private tour with Journeast was the best decision. We could take our time at each temple and set a pace that suited our energy levels. Indra was once again fantastic—very responsive and professional. Our guide was incredibly insightful, sharing deep historical stories about the reliefs that you wouldn't find in a guidebook. Even though the temples can get quite hot, the transition back to our private, air-conditioned car was a lifesaver. It’s the perfect way to recharge between sites. We felt completely looked after from start to finish. If you want a stress-free cultural experience in Yogyakarta, this is it.

5.00I went to Borobodur and Prambanan temples. Ecco was my driver. He was fantastic. We did spend a lot of time driving to the temples. We had great chats in English. Ecco was friendly and knowledgeable. And could talk about Premier League. I have to mention - dont skip Prambanan. I had a guide named Micco. His English was immaculate. He was funny and jokey. The vehicle was safe and AC was amazing. If you are in Yogja- do this tour ask for Ecco and Micco

5.00We traveled to Jogja to celebrate my birthday, and our experience was seamless thanks to our driver, Jarot, from Journeast. He picked us up right on time before 8:00 AM and was very knowledgeable about Yogyakarta, including the routes and local highlights. The temple guides at Borobudur Temple and Prambanan Temple are managed separately by the temples, so I won’t review those. Overall, we had a great experience and highly recommend Journeast Tours—especially Jarot!

5.00A days tour is almost suitable for anyone, Family, Couple or Solo. Including Borobudur and Prambanan Temple arranged by my good guide Mr.Nasir Anang. Luckily for me, it aint't crowded in neither ancient culture holy site. On th road, you can have a taste of a kind local special fruit called "Snake Skin Fruit", and also the world famous Luwak coffee.

5.00Amazing experience getting to climb the Borobudur temple. Ekko was a great guide. We really enjoyed the morning at the temple, both learning about the temple but also getting to explore it. It was really warm, so we really appreciated that Ekko was okay with us skipping the second temple and taking us to a section of Yogyakarta with art and craft stores, where we enjoyed shopping for local crafts.
