Our Wildlife Safari takes you to three different habitats near Byron Bay. You’ll visit eucalyptus forest, rainforest and grassland to discover the animals that live there.
We guarantee you’ll see a koala or two, a mob of kangaroo, and many species of bird. If conditions are right you may also see pademelon, echidna, tawny frogmouth and water dragons. Along the way you will be amazed at the abundant birdlife.
On this tour we travel to where the animals live so it involves a bit of driving. We start with a 45-minute drive to our first stop and end the day with a 1-hour drive back to Byron Bay. In between there are short drives and walks.

Our Wildlife Safari takes you to three different habitats near Byron Bay. You’ll visit eucalyptus forest, rainforest and grassland to discover the animals that live there. We guarantee you’ll see a koala or two, a mob of kangaroo, a whole colony of flying fox and many species of bird. If conditions are right you may also see pademelon, echidna, tawny frogmouth and water dragons. You will travel in our comfy eight-seater 4WD with an environmental scientist as your guide. For lunch? A picnic of locally-sourced goodness. We are an award winning eco-tour company and we are passionate about what we do. As with all our eco-tours, it is our goal to observe but not disturb the wildlife. If you want to feed or pat the wildlife, this is not the tour for you.

5.00Our tour with Wendy was great. We saw everything advertised and more. It was so refreshing seeing the wildlife in its natural setting as opposed to zoos and private refuges. Lunch was very good as well. But, the best part was Wendy's enthusiasm and knowledge. We learned so much. Thanks Wendy!!!

5.00Absolutely brilliant day with amazingly knowledgable, super smart and great fun founder and guide Wendy. I lived for years in Australia in the past but wanted to reconnect to nature and learn more...Wendy and the whole day delivered in spades. Great spotting in secret locations of all sorts of beautiful Aussie animals I'd never seen in the wild before...don't miss this tour!!

5.00Wendy was a delight. She has extensive knowledge of the Australian ecosystem and were able to see Koalas, Kangaroos, Wallaby’s, Pademelon’s and Flying Foxes in their natural habitat. The day couldn’t have been better and we had a fabulous lunch too. This is a don’t miss and highly recommend.

5.00This was so far the best out of several tours I took from Cairns down to Byron Bay. It was well organized, well communicated, not over promised, like most other tours, and very human. Wendy clearly loves what she’s doing, she loves the animals and nature, and her enthusiasm is contagious. This is not a petting zoo tour, so don’t expect to hug koalas. You will see quite a few of them napping high in trees. Powerful binoculars are provided. The picnic lunch was delicious.
