  Reef Adventures ran a smooth excursion to the Great Barrier Reef. After meeting at their storefront in a shopping center to be fitted with sting suits (to protect from jelly fish, also sun), we walked to the pier and took a 50-minute boat ride to their location on the reef. They had a boat captain, and two guides who led the group in the water. It was about an hour snorkeling, with the guide pointing out sea turtles, anemones, many fish, giant oysters, and a reef shark. And then we returned to the pier. They had drinks for sale on board. The equipment was in good shape and worked as expected. The sun is very strong so make sure you bring plenty of reef safe sunscreen. And a towel to dry off after swimming.

  This was the most favorite tour we did on our whole trip! Loved this company, Reef Adventures. Their equipment was very clean, from the stinger suits to the snorkel, face mask, fins, and boat. The crew was excellent. Very friendly and knowledgeable and gave great explanations. They really took good care of everyone and were very safety conscious. As added bonuses, they took pictures of all of us snorkeling, had delicious snacks for all of us, and great music on the boat. Would definitely use this company again!

  It was an amazing experience. The crew were very knowledgeable, friendly and helpful during the entire time. One recommendation for the crew is to keep ppl in the boat hydrated and take better pictures. Otherwise it was a good day!

  Wonderful experience with Caitlin and team! They went out of their way to make us feel comfortable and safe during our adventure. The technical briefing and instructions were very clear fro the start. During our swim we had a wonderful experience and Caitlin was great with adding background information on the coral and sea life. They were a great team to spend an afternoon snorkeling and swimming.

  This was a fantastic experience. The crew consisted of Lucky, Lilly, and Caitlin. They were best. They were very knowledgeable about the Coral reef. They were super courteous and answered all my questions. Caitlin and Lucky took my pictures. Caitlin and Lilly were great in swimming and snorkelling guidances. I am snorkelling novice. They had fantastic knowledge of the reef. I very much enjoyed it and if possible I would love do this trip again.

  We had a great family snorkeling experience at the Great Barrier Reef. The staff Sofia, Lincoln and Renee were all very professional and attentive ensuring everyone had a safe and good time. We lived the mid-morning departure option which was perfect for our teenagers. I would highly recommend.

  Overall experience with Reef Adventures was excellent. To start, two days before my booking, I discovered the time I had reserved would not get me back to my cruise ship in time for departure. When I reached out to them, they offered the option to switch to an earlier time of day that worked perfectly for us. Very much appreciated their flexibility there. The day of the excursion was very smooth - from check-in, through boat departure and snorkeling prep. The group size was small - about 20 odd passengers and 3 crew (two ended up in the water with us). Snorkeling itself started out a little “rough” for me - I was getting water leaking into my snorkel tube, was very uncomfortable with that and about ready to give up. I mentioned it to Hailey (one of our guides in the water), and she did something to my tube’s mouth seal and it was magically fixed! No more leakage… I could breathe underwater without issue. Big relief. The snorkeling itself was very pleasant/enjoyable, and of sufficient time to get a good look around the reef we were at. Honestly, don’t think I wanted to go much longer as I was beginning to tire in the moderate waves. The posting of day-of pics (including underwater shots of the reef) was a nice touch. Highly recommended.

  Super experience. Good music on the boat. On the way back, you can give numbers yourself. Clear explanation by the supervisors. Special Sting Ray suits given against the jellyfish but none seen while snorkeling. Very nice reef and nice pictures received for free from our trip.
