• Great option - unless there is wind or choppy seas

  Unfortunately, the weather made this a less-than-enjoyable experience for us, but the crew was exceptionally friendly, passionate, and good at managing a rough situation. We had challenges getting to the meeting point, and arrived 30 seconds before the group we had left. They were kind enough to accommodate us and allow us to change into stinger suits quickly and get aboard. That being said, I think the sea conditions were bad enough that the tour should have been canceled and refunded. We are certified divers and scuba frequently, but many onboard were inexperienced or new to snorkeling and the currents were strong and the water was choppy. Not only did this make visibility underwater incredibly poor, but the conditions were not safe for beginners. Again, the crew did their best under the circumstances and managed to get everyone into and out of the water safely, so I gave them a 4-star rating here. But it really wasn’t a pleasant experience. If the weather is nice - maybe morning snorkel is better? - then this crew is fun and amazing and committed to making it a great day! But if the weather is windy or the seas are choppy - skip it and have a nice meal down at the pier.

  It was so fun! The crew was fun and engaging. They were very helpful and it was a beautiful day! We saw lots of fish.

  An absolutely excellent and personable crew, always remarkably positive and supportive. It was just an excellent experience and the crew accounted for at least half of that excellence. Cannot rated highly enough.

  Bring a jacket or sweatshirt. Our seas were rough so it was miserable because of a storm off shore. The company is excellent. I really enjoyed the people who run this company. They made the most of the weather. We froze our an$$es off. However, they supplied jackets. The jackets were not warm, but would be good if it wasn’t so cold. The people made it all worthwhile. They dragged me around on a float thing so I could see the starfish and fish. I felt bad for them.

  EXCELLENT! Highly recommend Reef Adventures they were brilliant from start to finish. We did not have much time in Cairns so loved the fact that they offered a half day option. They were so informative. The crew were fab and took us on a guided tour which was great as we got info about the reef and meant we got to see different parts. They also provided snacks for the trip home and they took pictures throughout the whole trip - which were completely free for us to use which was great because most tours then charge extra which I refuse to pay Couldn’t recommend them highly enough!
