5.00We visited the floating market of Can Tho very early in the morning, at 6 a.m., and it was a truly authentic and fascinating experience with Mekong by Local. Phuoc was an excellent guide: he explained in detail how the market works, its unique characteristics, its origins, and many aspects of the local culture and people. He was extremely kind and friendly, and his English was very clear and easy to understand. During the tour, which lasted until late morning, we made several stops along the way to taste local specialties. One of the highlights was the cooking class in a local homestay. We highly recommend Phuoc to anyone who wants to experience the Mekong Delta in an authentic and meaningful way.

5.00I rarely write reviews, but our tour today was too good to not write one! When doing tours, I’m always hesitant that they will be too busy with lots of tours at the same time and the feeling of being cramped into one area. That was so not the case this time! We had a small group of 6 people who spent the day together visiting the Mekong-Delta river with stops at the floating market, food vendors, fruit garden, a homestay to cook Vietnamese food and we even got to see how the locals actually live on the river by visiting their home. Hearing the local’s stories of life on their boats and being invited in to their homes is my absolute highlight of the day. Our guide Phong was an absolute delight and made sure we were all having fun and were well fed (all foods were included and there was lots of it!). It honestly was a genuine and honest experience and I feel that we really got to see how life is here whilst also ofc eating our way through it.
The Mekong, simply breathtaking!

5.00We booked the Floating Market and Mekong River Tour and got a great guide with Cory (Khoi). After starting early in the morning, the floating market offered a small snack and coffee. Afterwards we prepared our breakfast together with Cory. On the way back we passed the floating market again and were allowed to stop on a houseboat. Overall a really great experience!

5.00We had a lovely experience with the Floating Market und Mekong Delta Tour. We spent our day with a small group of 6 persons and had a very good time with the happy driver and sunny the guide. We laughed a lot together and prepared even a traditional dish. The tour provides insights about the floating market and the local lifestyle. Overall we had a great time and the tour is very good value. Would recommend that to everybody who’s visiting can tho.

5.00There are no words to describe our unforgettable and authentic experience at Cai Rang floating market away from the tourist circuits. Everything was more than perfect and thanks to Sunny a knowledgeable, knowledgeable guide with excellent English (not at all obvious detail here in Vietnam) and the sunny and smiling owner of the long boat, we spent moments of pure Poetry to discover the floating market with breakfast of noodles at dawn, the surrounding countryside along the hidden canals and we could attend and participate in a cooking lesson in a typical homestay and enjoy lunch together. The surprise final gem was being able to get on a boat along the Mekong to really discover how the locals who sell the goods to wholesalers along the river live and let us delight with the freshest and sweetest tropical fruit! Infinitely grateful for the gift of being able to meet Sunny and live an experience of true beauty.❤️

5.00We had the best time exploring the Mekong Delta with our guide, Cory (yes, C-O-R-Y—remember the name!). From the moment we hopped onto the boat, he kept us laughing with his jokes and fun stories, all while giving us real insight into life along the river. The floating market was such a unique experience—colorful, lively, and nothing like anything we’ve seen before. Cory knew exactly where to take us to avoid the touristy chaos and still get the full vibe. It felt authentic, relaxed, and honestly just really fun. After the boat tour, he brought us to a local homestay where we got a behind-the-scenes look at Vietnamese cooking. We actually got to try our hand at preparing a few dishes, and the family there was incredibly warm and welcoming. It was one of those moments where you feel like you’ve stepped into someone’s real life, not just another tour. Overall, Cory made the whole day special. He’s funny, knowledgeable, and genuinely loves what he does—it shows. If you’re thinking about booking this tour: do it. And if you’re lucky enough to get Cory as your guide, even better.
