First you are welcomed with a homemade refreshment or a greek coffee from the hostess. While you’re enjoying your drink and cookies, you will be informed about the sour-dough bread making procedure. Initially we mix our ingredients to prepare our dough . When it’s ready each of us will prepare his own bread loaf adding whatever extra you prefer inside the loaf such us olives,sun-dried tomato, seeds etc. After that we need to let it rest for a while so we’ll visit our olive grove and you’ll learn about the olive oil harvesting process, and all the secrets of mixing olive oil with herbs! Our loafs are ready. In the oven they go. Meanwhile we’ll visit our farm to harvest your veggies and prepare the Cretan Salad as well some extra side dishes like greek fava beans and other seasonal appetizers. Finally!!Time to get our loafs out of the oven. Trust me they smell delicious. Enjoy your own unique bread loaf and combine it with our herb-flavoured extra-virgin olive oil. You’ll also have all the side dishes we’ll prepare and copious amounts of local wine. Make sure you leave room for dessert! Something sweet is always offered at the end.

This was one of the most fun and enjoyable experiences of our trip to Crete. From the moment you showed up, you felt as if you were invited to a family member's house to cook and enjoy a nice Cretan lunch. If you are in Chania, you have to make sure and book this class.

One of the highlights of our trip! Veerna and her family are all wonderful, kind, and so much fun to work with. You not only learn some wonderful new skills, but also about the land, its history, and all of the beautiful and useful plants in the garden. We did the bread class and I am so excited to make my first loaf at home this weekend. Looking forward to taking the cooking class on our next visit.

What a delightful, authentic experience. Made the most delicious sourdough which was served with an array of Creatian specialities….we had to cancel dinner afterwards as were so full. The hosts Nikos and Alex were excellent, what a lovely family to spend time with. They answered all our questions about life in Crete and it felt like having lunch with old friends. If you are looking to do something away from the usual tourist attractions book their sourdough class.

We took part in the sourdough bread baking class and are completely thrilled! The atmosphere was incredibly pleasant – warm, relaxed and full of joy. The hosts are simply magical and made us feel welcome from the first moment. The location is an absolute dream: among olive trees, animals and a real stone oven. Preparing the bread together was not only educational, but also really beautiful – and the freshly baked bread from the wood-fired oven was a treat! The prepared side dishes prepared during the course were also delicious. Overall, a wonderful experience that will stay with us for a long time. Highly recommended!

This was the best part of our trip! Highly recommend this class. The guide (and the entire family) was friendly, knowledgeable, and made us feel welcome. The food was incredible. The tour of their local olive farm was also a nice addition. If you’re on the fence, please book, you won’t regret it.

This cooking class was a truly authentic experience. The atmosphere was relaxed, with beautiful surroundings. It is a family-run business and the hosts are friendly and full of lively conversation and information about Cretan culture and history. The food was delicious! You get a proper meal out of this class, so don't book dinner afterwards. There are also some very cute animals you get to meet on the property including puppies, sheep and chickens.

The team was amazing! They shared Cretan history and taught us more than anyone else, their personalities were infectious in a good way. The highlight of my family's trip to Crete! The bread had the best recipe I've ever had.

My sour dough bread experience was amazing!! From the time of pick up to drop off was nothing but feeling like part of a family. They had you get involved right off the bat and the time flew by so fast because it was involvement, learning, experience, tasting, laughter, and just total FUN. All this came easy for the instructors involved. You could tell “they” were having fun as well. Totally natural for them. I will definitely pass this on to anyone I know going to Chania, or Crete for that matter. A forever remembered experience in my life. I hope I get to go again one day.

My husband and I took the sourdough baking class and had an amazing time. Nikos and Alex were so personable, friendly, funny, and really made us feel at home. Conversation was easy and we really enjoyed seeing their home/garden where they grow produce and olives. They even have the cutest puppies you will see! In total, it was just 5 of us with Alex and Nikos, so it felt really intimate. They cooked us a lovely meal - pork and fava beans - to go with the bread and Greek salad we made ourselves. We also got to have some fun guessing different olive oils they made themselves from their olive trees. Leftovers were still delicious and bread stayed soft. We spent about 4.5 hours and it was one of the best things we did while in Crete. Highly recommend!
