  Derek provided a private tour that took me north of Galway to a small village where my descendants once lived. Derek was excellent, knowledgeable, and flexible with the schedule. Transportation was top-notch. Highly recommend his services.

  We had a wonderful day on our tour of the Connemara Region with Derek. He tailored the tour around our interests and we had a great time. We loved the geography, the sheep farm experience, and Kylemore Abbey. The best part of the tour was all of the knowledge that Derek shared with us.   My adult daughter and I had an amazing opportunity to spend a day with Derek Spillane while in Galway. Derek was our driver for a day where we visited Connemara National Park with its stunning landscape and then to Kylemore Abbey, an operational monetary with its beautiful castle and gardens. Derek made the time in the car so interesting. He had a thorough knowledge of the history of the island. We learned so much from him. I would highly recommend taking your tour with Derek.

  My two friends and I spent a wonderful day in Connemara with Derek. We visited a sheep farm and got to feed baby lambs. He brought us to a fantastic restaurant where we had the best local mussels, and we even drove out to an island on a sandbar when the tide was out. Derek is so knowledgeable about the area and shared some great stories. I would highly recommend him we saw so much in just one day.

  We had an amazing time with Derek as our private tour guide while staying in Ireland. We were so lucky that he had last minute availability and though it was a long day for us (taking the train from Dublin to Galway then immediately starting the tour), it was so beyond worth it. Connemara is one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever seen and as someone who has seen the cliffs of Moher and many other sites around Ireland before, and been to many other scenic spaces around America, Europe and Latin America, this was one of my favorite places in terms of beauty and intrigue. We opted out of the sheepdog part due to timing, but the wild Atlantic way, and the gorgeous views of lakes and ocean and mountains could not be beat. Kylemore is kind of just an added bonus, and it itself is beautiful. The real selling point is the gorgeous country and the incredible tour guide. We would highly recommend this tour to anyone looking to make the most of time in Galway. We had 48 hours in the city total and it was a trip highlight to get to do this tour!! Thank you to Derek and to you as a potential customer- if you are on the fence or debating a big group tour for financial reasons, do this tour.   Derek was an incredibly knowledgeable guide who took us on an expanded tour that included Ashford castle, Kong, the fjord, and the lake areas along with the Kylemore Abbey and Joyce sheepdogs. We had to change our date last minute and leave earlier than expected and he very graciously accommodated this as well.   I recently bought some friends over from Malaga and one of the things that  I organised was a tour with Derek they all concluded it was the highlight of their stay Derek brought the history of Galway ,Connemara and Kylemore Abby to life.His knowledge and Delivery had us all spellbound not to mention his lovely personality he also had Such a unique and personal touch throughout the tour travelling through this beautiful part of the world with him was a delightful experience. I couldn’t recommend him highly enough a must do experience when visiting Galway Thank you Derek for the great memories
