A very moving kanak land experience! A first people fighting for its survival; this deserves respect! The Trjibaou Centre is a great architectural achievement that admirably combines history, traditions, environment, agriculture and politics!

Really enjoyed the information presented by the local tour guide. Did this from a cruise ship but booked direct. Tour was very concious of returning to ship within timeframes and did so efficiently. Confortabke air conditioned bus and much better value than onboard excursions that eere twice the price. Thoroughly recommend.

Provider confirmed the booking, then two hours later cancelled it as they only run for cruise ships. Tried to rearrange but they wouldn’t tell us what days it would actually be running

Thank you, Yolande and Alex for an interesting tour of the Museum and sharing so much about the everyday lives of regular people in Noumea. The Museum is really wonderful, highly recommended for an afternoon. When I return I will stay longer and look at the amazing art as well as the cultural exhibits. Thanks again, ladies, see you later in the year for round 2.

Our tour guide Yolanda was very friendly and knowledgeable. Being New Year’s day they opened the cultural centre especially for us which we were very grateful for and appreciated being the only ones there. We next went to Ouen Toro Hill with stunning views however we didn’t visit Église de l’Immaculée-Conception, not sure why as we were dropped off ahead of time. The other thing to mention is that if you’re staying in Anse Vata and not off a cruise boat you’ll have to make your own way to the ferry terminal for the start of this tour.

An engaging shore trip on our port call. Was long enough to be entertaining without being tedious. The guide Yolonda was very talkative and informative. The tour included the bus (new and airconditioned) and entry to the Tjibaou Cultural Centre with commentary by Yolonda so I think that it was good value. The bus trip traversed across the island to the cultural centre and returned in a loop on a different road so we saw different parts of the island.

Our guide was great. The Cultural Center was closed because it was a holiday. I lieu of going there we explored more of the island. In all, the tour was informative and beautiful.

I was very disappointed. When we reached noumea we were told that the tour which was supposed to be at 11.00 am would go at 1.30. As the driver was worried about time we missed out on the cathedral which was to have been for one of the highlights

The tour operator and guide, Yolande, and bus driver, Fannie were amazing. Yolande was extremely knowledgeable about the Kanak people and culture and the places we visited. Our trip to the Tjibaou Cultural Center, Ouen Toro Park, and Church of Wishes were superb! Lyvai Tour Operators is a must to use when visiting Nouméa, New Caledonia!
