  We had such a wonderful time exploring Istanbul with Muhammet! He’s incredibly knowledgeable and shared so many interesting details about each place we visited. You can really tell he loves what he does. He was also very patient and accommodating, happily answering all our questions and making sure we were comfortable throughout the tour.   A perfect day with a lifetime of memories all thanks to our amazing guide, Muhammet. He read us perfectly and gave us the exact day we wanted to have. We saw & did everything we wanted and wrapped up our day with sweet treats, Turkish coffee and new friends.

  We had an amazing day with Muhammet who showed us around the sites of the old city in a private tour. Muhammet tailored the tour to our specific interests and got us to where we wanted to be in a timely and effective manner which ensured we didn’t have to queue long in the heat and let us visit all of the sites we wanted to in the same day! He was lovely and very funny as well as very knowledgeable about the places we visited or the best places not to miss! I was slightly worried about my mother who can’t walk uphill for long periods of time but Muhammet made sure the tour wasn't rushed and that she was alright and had enough water etc. He also took some amazing photos for us and gave us time to look around where we wanted to.   My family and I had the absolute pleasure of spending the day with Muhammet, who showed us around the European side. From the start, Muhammet treated us like old friends. He tailored the tour to our interests and specifications. He's knowledgeable, honest, warm, and extremely funny - just an absolute joy to be around! I was slightly worried about our two-year-old, but Muhammet got along with her splendidly. He made sure the tour wasn't rushed and that we were all taken care of. We highly recommend Muhammet as a tour guide and wish we had more time with him. We will not hesitate to contact Muhammet the next time we visit beautiful and magical Istanbul.

  Touring with Mohammet was an awesome way to experience Istanbul. Highly recommend hiring a private guide like this tour instead of shore excursions with too many people (fellow cruisers said they left their group and did their own after they got the initial orientation). Mohammet went out of the way to meet at us at the ship and spent almost 8 hours, showed us how to take the public transportation, by just tapping the credit card for train and ferry. It was like hanging out with a friend, very pleasant, relaxed pace and informative, focussing only on what we were interested in, stopped along the way at tea shops, Kabab places and shopping based for our interests. Visited the Mosques and Cistern, grand bazar, the Palace was closed that day. Finished the tour at Mohammet’s friend’s coffee shop back in Galataport, chatting with locals and just having a great time. He was also very responsive before arrival, chatting on WhatsApp to plan and set expectations even before we set foot in the port. I will be booking Mohammet for future visits, and we are so glad we found this tour.

  I was casually strolling in Karakoy when I found Muhammet’s friend’s tea and sweets shop. I was browsing and Muhammet saw no one had talked to me yet, so he came up and started answering questions for me. We got to talking about travel and our favorite places we’ve been. He also told me so much about Turkish culture. He even showed me how to make Turkish coffee! He made me laugh so much. While I did not take a tour from him in the traditional sense, it was clear to me he is extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and genuinely wants to educate people about Turkish culture. Keep in mind he used his free time to answer all my many questions after he had just spent the whole day giving tours. He even invited me to have coffee with him and his friends at the shop. We had a great time, shared photos of our cats, and laughed a whole lot. I wish I had met Muhammet at the beginning of my trip so I could have hired him as a guide. On top of all this, his English is excellent. Go hang out with Muhammet and be prepared to learn and laugh a lot! :)

  We really enjoyed our tour of the sights and learning about the history of the places we visited in Istanbul. Mohammed was a great guide. Friendly, knowledgeable and happy to tailor the tour to our needs. He really took good care of us and we enjoyed his company. We would happily recommend Mohammed to anyone visiting Istanbul who would like a personalised, friendly guide to show you around. You will learn a lot about the place.

  10/10!!! I had a very limited time for my stopover and due to my early arrival into Istanbul, Muhammet was amazing and met me as early as 6:30am to start the tour. In a short amount of time, I was able to eat a delicious Turkish breakfast, sit down and have a tea and baklava, see the Blue Mosque, Basilica Cistern, Obelisk of Theodosius, and Hagia Sofia and shop at the Grand Bazaar and a local shop where they sold Turkish delight, teas, spices and baklava. Muhammet is very knowledgeable, professional and friendly. Highly recommend him if you need a private guide around Istanbul.

• 20-Hour Off The Beaten Path Experience

  We had a 20-hour stopover itinerary planned but after the 1st Mosque, Muhammed saw how bored we were. For the next 6 hours we deviated from the itinerary and merged with the locals. We busted Muhammad's favorite spots and met his friends. Diverging to the off-beaten paths was definitely a great educational experience.
