5.00So glad I did this and learned about some of the taboos of Japanese society. Would highly recommend this tour for people who want to scratch beneath the surface. The only thing that could have been better: avoid standing for 10 minutes in a park full of mosquitoes, where the same can be said in the parking lot in front.

5.00We had Josh as our tour guide. He was absolutely fabulous! We loved having him as our tour guide 🤗. This tour is about the things you never see or know about Osaka. It was such an informative and fascinating tour. We visited a temple and shrine with some insight on what these represent to present day. We saw construction and how these are funded. We saw abandoned homes and how class and name matters in Japanese culture and reasons why these are abandoned after generations living in these houses (it’s very sad to know your family name could be the reason why you can not take on your family home). We visited the culinary district and this was fascinating and what I thought, was the complete opposite. These workers are very much looked after. We stopped in to try a traditional food dish and it was delicious 🤤 and toured a district that is lesser than the tourist areas but soooo good to visit. We were given an insight to the homelessness and why they are homeless which is unlike what I thought. We had the option for dinner and this was absolutely delicious and we were famished. We went to a place that I would never found and am so grateful to go and have dinner here. This tour was the best tour that we had been on and delves into Japans class system, religion, gangs and politics. This is a MUST DO for those that want to experience authentic Japanese culture in it’s true form. This tour isn’t for those looking for the good and the flashy lights in Osaka. Thank you Josh! You were absolutely funny, informative, accepting and so knowledgeable 🙌 I highly recommend Josh and this tour
