We are Bertie and Aby - an English sommelier and an Argentine chef. In 2016 we started Wine Discovery. Our tastings are focused around wine, food and good company, all shared around a big table - the Argentine way!
Aby has been cooking traditional Argentine food every since she was a child, helping at (big) family gatherings and Bertie has worked as a sommelier since 2008. Together we want to share our knowledge and passion for Argentina’s wine, cuisine and culture!
Our experience is designed to be enjoyed by everyone - whether you are just mildly interested in wine or an expert, our wine tastings are a fun and relaxed affair!

What To Expect
At our wine tasting, we offer a unique 2 hour experience that allows you to discover the boutique wines of Argentina, local dishes and the history and stories behind every wine we taste We source each of our wines from small producers from across Argentina. We start in the arid north and then move down to the cool plains of Patagonia. From there we move north to the famous vineyards of Mendoza. All of the wineries we work with are family run and pride themselves on making unique wines, packed full of character! We taste four wines, each by a different producer and from a unique region of Argentina. To make everything even more mouth-watering, each wine of paired with homemade regional tapas, prepared freshly by Aby. During the tasting, we take a look not just at wine, but also Argentina's fascinating history and culture.

5.00Highly highly recommend you try this delightful wine tasting experience. Easy to find location, very nice set up. We were absolutely charmed by Bertie and Aby and thoroughly enjoyed the thoughtful and generous journey through a great selection of Argentinian wines and delicious tapas. Bertie and Aby are super knowledgeable but kept the whole evening on a fun, light level leaving plenty of time for us to also chat amongst ourselves. Can’t wait for the empanada T-shirt line…. ;)

5.00Bertie and aby curate such nice experiences! We did the wine and tapas tasting first. We learned about 5 different wines, the areas, things to note, etc. between each wine was a cool tapa with a story and some history as well. We bought 6 bottles to ship back to the states.

Bertie really knows his way around wines and you get get a great understanding and appreciation for the Argentinian wines. Paired with Aby's food and local food knowledge, this made for a truly great experience. Highly recommended.

5.00This was the best Non-tour event that I participated in. Extremely knowledgeable about the different wines and their regions. Tapas offerings were worth the price of admission alone. When is the last time that you got to learn something, drink great wine and have appetizers served to you along with their historical significance. Don't forget to say hello to the beautiful hostess Bonnie.

5.00This was one of the best experiences we had in Buenos Aires, the food that Aby made was great, Bertie explanations of the different wines was interesting, they made us feel very confortable, and their dog bonnie was very sweet. Me and my wife would highly recommend this experience
