Farmhouse guided tour
Visit a typical Cinta Senese farmhouse in Montepulciano. The Cinta Senese is an ancient variety of animal breeds coming from the Siena area. Meet your friendly local farmer, Roberto and begin your unique bucolic experience. Enter in Roberto’s farmhouse, full of that nice Cinta Senese porks: he knows his animals one by one, they are fed with Tuscan cereals and DOP food and they are reared in the semi free-range. Start your experience strolling along vineyards and olive groves, learning all about organic agriculture. During the path, you will meet Ciro, the domestic pig, and its Cinta-Senese-piglets company: look at them having fun in the mud, or capture the moment with your camera. At the end of the experience, take a sit in the wood table surrounded by nature and vineyards and delight your palate with a typical light lunch. You will enjoy a special chopping board of Cinta Senese cold cuts, and local Pecorino di Pienza cheese with homemade jam. Before sipping again your Rosso di Montepulciano DOCG wine, bite a typical Bruschetta or Panzanella. Finish in the best way with some local Cantucci biscuits paired with sweet wine and a fresh Italian coffee.

Great experience! Roberto is a wonderful host and we had a great time meeting his pigs, touring his farm and enjoying a substantial meal. My only recommendation is to give yourself extra time to find the farm. Google maps got us pretty close, but not exactly there. We stopped at several neighbors to ask for directions, but unless you speak Italian it is a challenge. Google Translate was of limited value. My only suggestion is better signage on the road. The destination was well worth the journey. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon and recommend this experience.

This experience is unique and really gives an intimate feeing for life on a Tuscan farm. We really enjoyed Roberto and his home but especially learning about his pigs! They are such fun. Vineyards, olive trees, garden. Lovely lunch and a very special day!

The pigs were a highlight of our week in Tuscany. My son has been on many tours, but this was his favorite by far.

Our 3 children aged 10, 8, 6 found this the highlight of our entire trip to Italy! They loved meeting and feeding the pigs, seeing the small farm with different veggies growing and having the most lovely lunch overlooking the farm. The food and wine were fabulous! The kids kept asking to go back!

Wow I am almost speechless. Roberto and his family are amazing and so hospitable. My husband and I arrived thinking we were going to take a tour and a maybe a food sampling what we got was an incredible lunch and a walk thru his family’s home and welcomed with love and appreciation. They answered all questions and we can’t wait to return.

This was an amazing experience, and we would highly recommend it. We didn’t know what to expect of a farm tour. They were wonderful hosts and the lunch was absolutely delicious: started with homemade wine and mixed bruschetta, then Tuscan soup, aged meats, pecorino from Pienza, biscotti and dessert liquor. We took the tour with a couple from the UK who came back to do the tour again because they loved the wine and experience so much.
