What To Expect
Our dive station is conveniently located inside the crater of the Volcano in Akrotiri at Caldera Beach just in front of the sea, so you can start the experience immediately! The Discover Scuba Program starts at 10:00 or 13:00 from our dive station on the beach, where one of our qualified instructors will teach you the basic scuba principles, the important underwater hand signals and how to use the equipment. This briefing takes about 20 minutes, and then you would get into wetsuits and equipment, and walk into the water right off the beach. You would stop in shallow water (about waist deep) and bend down to take your first breaths underwater! Once you're comfortable with breathing using the scuba equipment you would go with the instructor underwater for a guided dive to the nearby reef and you will have the chance to play with the fish. You would be underwater for around 35 minutes in total. Total duration 2 hours. In order to arrange your holidays, you must know that after one dive it is not recommended to take a plane for 12h.

5.00We took our Girl Scout troop here. It was an amazing experience. We were taught the basics of scuba, before we went in the water. The staff were very helpful. My son left his GoPro behind and they notified me and shipped it to us.

5.00Absolutely amazing experience. This was my first ever diving experience, and I’m so glad I chose these people! They really cared about my husband and I, they took the time to calm us down and explain everything very well. This is an absolute must do experience, but you should expect to be a little scared. Breathing is a little difficult to adjust to, having control of your body is difficult at first, and it’s possible that your mask can fog up or get water in it and you won’t be able to see. That being said, these people really want you to be comfortable and to experience it, so they take their time with you and make you feel safe. The views were stunning, there were so many different fish, the sea was clear and beautiful. Because of them, my husband and I have a life long memory together + pictures they took for us under water! Hands down, the best experience I’ve ever had!

4.00Excellent staff and they take their time with their instructions to ensure you will be comfortable in the water. Equipment are well maintained and clean. They have extra instructor following us around underwater which made me felt extra safe. If you are reading this review don't hesitate and book this for your first scuba experience. They will also provide you with pictures and video of you experience under water free of charge.

5.00My daughter (18) and I loved our experience with Santorini Dive Center! This was the perfect excursion to introduce diving to my daughter. Barak was very patient and thorough in explaining the equipment to our group of 5. The Santorini Dive Center team took great care getting us in the water, ensuring everyone was comfortable and taking us around the area. I can't wait to come back again and do more adventurous dives!
