  We were so lucky on this trip. Weather was perfect and we had a lovely day. Included lunch was simple but nice on a lovely tranquil island.

• Not suitable for cruise travelers: Disorganized tour, poor communication, missed pick-up, very disappointing experience.

  This was my first time visiting New Zealand. I came on a nearly two-week journey with the Celebrity Cruise, traveling across various cities in NZ. Everywhere I went, I found the people to be incredibly friendly, until this unfortunate experience, which was by far the worst. I booked a tour that listed two pick-up points: one at Paihia Wharf and the other at Russell Wharf. Since I was arriving by cruise, I researched and found that Paihia Wharf was closer to the cruise terminal, so I selected that option. Upon arrival, I texted the tour operator, Chloe. She informed me that the pick-up point was at Russell Wharf, Stand 27. I replied that I had chosen Paihia as my pick-up location. She simply responded that the tour only picks up from Russell. Why offer two pick-up points if you’re only going to use one? Why not inform customers in advance so we can plan our arrival accordingly? I ended up purchasing ferry tickets and headed to Russell. While on the ferry, I messaged Chloe and kindly asked her to wait a couple of minutes as I might be 5 minutes late, the tour was scheduled to start at 10:10 AM. She said they couldn’t wait, as it wouldn’t be fair to the other customers. I arrived in Russell at 10:05 AM and texted her again, explaining I had arrived but couldn’t find Stand 27. She told me the tour had already left, and since I hadn’t canceled 24 hours in advance, I wouldn’t receive a refund. My mother and I were extremely disappointed. Just imagine traveling across the ocean to experience the Bay of Islands, only for this to happen. How would you feel? I’m not writing this to complain or demand a refund. I simply want to share my experience with this tour operator. And to Chloe, next time you travel to another country, I truly hope the people you meet will be kinder and more understanding, so you won’t have to go through what we did.   An awesome day out cruising the high seas with Captain Marty and crew mates Courtney and Marie. Marty had heaps of knowledge and funny with it. The crew were very friendly and helpful. Awesome scenery, even made it through the “hole in the rock” . Yummy buffet lunch. Definitely recommend this trip 😎☀️

  Gorgeous weather and a beautiful sail around Bay of Islands. Water was so good we went through the hole in the rock twice! Lunch was a delicious buffet with salads, potatoes, chicken, beef and ham
