We easily found George at the designated meeting place and introduced ourselves. He showed great interest in where we were from and our experience of Vigo so far. We were shown the highlights of the area accompanied by a detailed explanation of the history and architecture of each place. We were encouraged to ask questions and so it turned into a very bespoke tour rather than just a copperplate script. George's english is very good and his manner is very engaging so we would highly recommend this tour.

Jorge is an excellent guide and provided a wonderful tour of Vigo. We learned about the city of Vigo, the surrounding Galicia region and heard lots of interesting stories about its history and people. Jorge is native of Vigo but his English is so good and proper I thought at first that he was a transplanted Brit. He is highly recommended.

This walking tour is better than the average tour of this kind. George clearly loves his city and region and this comes through with his knowledge and enthusiasm throughout the tour. He also shows genuine interest in his clients and where they come from which is also nice. His English is excellent with quite a unique accent that we happened to love. We would totally recommend booking George, we really can't think of anything negative to say, he's great. You will leave with so much more knowledge and have a very enjoyable time in the process.

Interesting, entertaining and informative. A great way to spend a couple of hours learning about 'George's' city. He also proved to be our lucky charm. After the tour ended we walked with him back to the start point and parted company outside Semola, a lovely coffee shop. Inside was a college friend that we had not seen for 45 years. We spent the rest of the day with her and her husband. If you take this tour, we can't promise you a similar unexpected reunion, but we're sure that you will have a great time. Linda and Barry.

Jorge did an awesome tour for us, despite a bit of rain. He was funny, insightful and gave historically compelling facts and anecdotes. His knowledge and his love for his city are equally evident. Don’t miss this chance to fall in love with Vigo and learn tons of history - not to mention a nice challenge of uphill walking🤣. My pedometer registered 7,800 steps and 11 flights of stairs.

Never found them. Could not find the starting point anywhere on the ticket or website. We waited where all the other walking tours started but no one showed from Verne (sub contracted by Viator)
